Tonight we've been training at Hula Hounds Dog Park in Brighouse working on reactivity. It's a great place to work on training safely and also a great place to exercise your pooch off lead if recall isn't 100%. Both training issues we can help with.

Its sad to say that some trainers and behaviourists still think that electronic shock collars are an acceptable method of correcting a dog's behaviour.
Electronic shock collars work by giving shocks to dogs via metal conductors which contact the neck, with up to 6,000 volts emitted for up to 11 seconds at a time.

These devices are cruel and far less effective than positive reward-based training. At Happy Days Dog Training we only use positive reward training methods.
The Dog's Trust is quite rightly calling for a ban on these cruel devices.
Why would you possibly want to electrocute your dog?

Shock Collars are cruel and less effective than reward-based training. The Government are delaying a ban meaning countless dogs will continue to suffer.
