Our plants have been flying off the shelves recently! Our owner Jo grew up around a family-run Garden Design business, and worked with plants prior to Nelly’s, so we’re really happy that you’re enjoying buying indoor and outdoor plants from us. We have an ever-changing selection and are working behind the scenes to expand the range to include planting accessories soon. We’d love to know what you’d like to see in our plant range.

Having birds visit your garden is not only a lovely thing to see but it also helps create a healthy garden. Birds will eat pests and help pollinate flowers. We have a great range of seeds, fat balls and feeders for you to attract a variety of birds into your outside space no matter the size.

Pork and Potato is our particular favourite, it’s specially created for dogs and seniors with sensitive digestion and intolerances. Little Sasha likes to pop in and make herself cosy in a pet bed! She’s a great mouse deterrent. While she’s here we treat her to a few little nuggets from our Nelly’s Connoisseur cat food, her favourite is the duck and no wonder she loves it with 70% duck and sardines. It’s a complete premium food & grain free too. She’s a cheeky little thing because she has been known to sneak home with a catnip toy off the shelf!

Regular visitor to the shop is little Sukie. She is an 11 year old sh*tsu bichon cross & is full of character. Sukie loves the Carnilove treats. These are a great soft snack jam packed full of flavour. Choices include sardine, quail, duck and the trout in photo. Suitable for all dogs.

I love getting new treats in for the shop and then testing them out on Nelly. Here she is chewing on a beef flattie. They flew out as soon as they arrived. High in protein, low in fat and suitable for puppies 12 weeks and over and only £1.49 each. Pop in, pick one up and give your dog a new easy treat.

Goldfinches are back! This beautiful pair have made a welcome return to staff member Karen’s garden. They’re seen here tucking into sunflower hearts. We sell food for all our garden birds from as little as £1 a bag. We also stock a wide range of bird feeders. Start encouraging birds to visit your garden now in time for winter. 🐦 🐦 🐦

✨ We are re-branding ✨

Nearly two years ago I took over the shop and I think now the time is right to have a change of name.

Why? There are quite a few variations of Paws & Claws up and down the country and I want our independent pet boutique to have a more personal touch.

Why Nelly’s Pet Supplies? Nelly is my gorgeous old lady cocker spaniel and surely there’s no better inspiration than that.

🎉Happy 13th Birthday today Nelly! The years have flown by since we got her as a tiny pup in 2010. She’s still very active and loves a jolly good walk, then afterwards she’ll hop onto the sofa and sleep all day. What a life!

This lovely little lady is Frankie a 6 month old Schnoodle. Frankie popped in today to pick up some treats, but the naughty pup helped herself to an Earth Animal peanut Stix when her mum wasn’t looking! She wasn’t going to give it back, no way!
