A little bit of schooling in the mist yesterday
It's very easy to post videos that just show the 'good' bits of your horse's journey.
Whilst this isn't 'bad' as such, I'm still trying to encourage Pippa to take her neck out and relax the back more in her flatwork, without losing the activity of the hindquarters (which is what sometimes can happen!)
I used the raised poles here to try and encourage the hind legs to push a bit more and encourage more elasticity in the steps.
Whilst trying to make sure I stayed straight and engaged a bit more through my core !
Pippa tried really hard though and was much more forward from behind in the T-C trans, which can sometimes not be active enough resulting in her losing balance

We had a great time a few weeks ago at our DISCO DRESSAGE session!
Well done Malcolm McKemey and Marie Bancroft-Rimmer for doing a great job of putting the routine together and having a fun, relaxed session with your 2 beautiful mares :)

Hello everyone!

As well as a comprehensive list of the equestrian services I offer, I am also a qualified fitness instructor - you can also find details of my sister branch Dressage and Deadlifts - tailored and specific fitness and strength training for the rider.

I have spent the last 2 years starting to develop my focus on the rider more and more, having found a vast improvement in my own riding from taking more of an intricate focus in my own fitness training.
We will never be perfect - but we can always strive to be better than yesterday.

Whatever our aims, there is no denying that one of the most influential factors on the outcome on both performance and our horse's well being is our own strength, balance and movement in the saddle.
Aside from this, we should all be finding a level of fitness that prolongs our health and happiness all-round, so what better way to do this than to train to make us better riders, riding with as much grace and elegance as we can find.

I hope to continue for a long time with my wonderful clients who make me very proud with the work they put in, and work with more people as we close out the year and start to look to 2025!
