OWNER FOUND - We have a young male white and tabby car handed into us today. He is not microchipped. He was found in the Old Shoreham Road/Carlton Terrace area. Proof of ownership will be required. Please help us reunite with his owner.

After four incredible years at Coastwayvets Portslade, the time has come for two of our colleagues to say goodbye and embark on new journeys. Elena and Quinton both started around the same time; Elena has been our senior vet while Quinton moved between both Portslade’s clinic and the Brighton hospital.

Elena said “I am truly grateful for the friendships I’ve formed, the knowledge I’ve shared, and the many laughs we've had along the way. Every challenge we faced together and every success we celebrated will stay with us forever”

Quinton said “Thank you for the trust, the guidance, and the camaraderie. I will miss being a part of this and all the other amazing teams I have been apart of. I will miss the clients and furry friends so very much. I am especially thankful to all our clients who over the years have supported one of CW’s chosen charities in Thailand. Sangkhlaburi Animal Sanctuary is so very close to my heart and without your support Elena and I could not have gone out there earlier this year”

We will miss them but wish them well.

Remember handsome Brighton, the young male dog our Coastway vet team helped last year in Thailand!!? Well look at how handsome he is now. If you or a friend is looking to adopt a super friendly young dog. Quinton Quintessential Que (our nurse) will be going out again next year with a group of vets and can bring him back if you want to give Brighton a forever home.

Sometimes it’s often overlooked and easy to miss! Especially as the skin is often hidden by lots of fur Signs include bald patches, darkened or thickened skin, red skin, pink feet
(saliva staining), red/pink skin or rashes. It’s always best to get your pet checked if you’re worried about their skin.

Microchipping cats becomes compulsory by 10th June 2024 🐾

The new rule mean cats must be implanted with a microchip before they reach the age of 20 weeks and their contact details stored and kept up to date in a pet microchipping database. All owners must have their cat microchipped no matter the age by 10 June 2024 and owners found not to have microchipped their cat will have 21 days to have one implanted, or may face a fine of up to £500.
