It's been another successful year for us, and in 2024 we have helped to rescue and rehome 23 dogs, 4 cats, 3 cockatiels and 2 guinea pigs
Looking back it's lovely to see them in their new homes, so we are sharing photos of just some of them with you, so you too can feel the love
None of this would be possible without your help and support, and we thank you all from the bottoms of our hearts
Wishing you all a happy and peaceful Christmas

❤️🐾STELLA🐾❤️

Meet Stella
She's a gorgeous Huskymiix
Who was born on 01.01.2021
She is approx. 52 cm , 21 kg

Stella is
✔ very friendly, affectionate
✔ loves people
✔ likes to cuddle
✔ calm, comfortable
✔ Modest and uncertain at first but quickly builds confidence
✔ loves walks
✔ Knows household life
✔ quiet in the house
✔ drives well in the car
✔ suitable for families
✔ like to be a second dog (not necessary
✔ Good with cats
✔ Compatible with male and female dogs

This adorable girl was taken into care in Guardias Viejas, Spain, after spending a long time on the streets and being fed there.
Unfortunately it was not possible for Stella to stay in her foster home, and she is now safe in Refugio El Azar
She has settled in well at the Refugio from the first day and is always sweet with all the dogs.
Stella also knows and likes cats.
Stella is initially very shy and seeks shelter from people, but quickly realised that no one is going to hurt her
She prefers it quiet and relaxed and refrains from wild antics.
This blue-eyed sweetheart has a very pleasant nature, and bonds quickly to her people.
Stella, therefore, wants a confident person who will show her that everything is okay and they will take care of everything.
Stella loves long walks and snuggles on the couch.
In the household, she behaves exemplary and does not bark.
Now she is just looking for her family to finally start her new best
Send us a message to find out just how easy it is to adopt this gorgeous girl
Stella is currently in Spain and will be fully vaccinated, spayed and blood tested ready to travel to the UK

Who We Are

Paws for the Cause Rescue was founded in September 2017, to help rehome abandoned, mistreated and stray dogs in Southern Spain. We are all volunteers using our own resources with no funding from any government sources. We are a Non Profit Association, and we raise funds for our rescue with the aid of our supporters through events, as well as online resources such as auctions and Just Giving.

We work side by side with our friends and colleagues in Canasta de Oro, who are a registered Association in Spain, and together we help the dogs in both Spain and the UK.

We often rely on foster carers, where possible, in both Spain and the UK, who take these disadvantaged dogs into their own homes, and care for them like their own pet, until a forever home can be found.

All of our dogs for adoption have been assessed with other dogs, children, and if need be, cats. They are health checked, blood tested, and fully vaccinated and chipped. If old enough they are neutered.
