I have been operating now for over 8 years! Being a solo, one on one groomer creates a much more relaxed atmosphere for your dog, meaning those that are more nervous seem to feel a bit happier about the whole process! I always put WELFARE first so I will adapt grooms as I see fit! No matter what!

Off on my holibobs from Saturday 13th for 8 days

Hi all!
I hope you’ve been coping ok in the heat!
Thankfully I only worked one day last week due to half term so I’ve survived 😂
As always if I believe it’s too much for your dog I will call off the groom!
PLEASE DO NOT GIVE YOUR DOGS A LONG WALK BEFORE THEIR GROOM!!
a simple sniff around my garden or the little green opposite me will be enough for your dog to do their business I appreciate you all emptying them out 😂 beforehand but let’s not make them come in panting etc. if they have an accident inside it’s really not a problem! So if they don’t go and your worries please don’t be it comes with the territory of working with dogs!
the precautions I’m taking are:
Basically cold water (very tepid)
Driers on cool
If needed I will send dogs home damp please understand this is not laziness it’s purely so I’m not getting them overheated!
As always fresh water is available and if they need a break I will let them down for a few minutes so please understand if grooms take longer for this reason
My windows will be wide open but my room does get quite hot quite quickly!
If I have a single dog I can leave the door open for better ventilation but same family dogs this can’t be done!

Had this handsome rescue pup come today! He was very nervous as you can see but he started to come around I even got a kiss 😍 and his body language warmed up a lot! he handled it like a champ when I wasn’t sure if he would be a nipper or not an he absolutely wasn’t hopefully with time he’ll learn to trust me a bit more ❤️

Hi all!
Hope everyone enjoyed their festivities!
Just a warning that probably goes without saying… my steps! Please be extra careful with the ice/snow about atm the hard thing is if we sprinkle grit salt it’s a risk to dogs of licking it off if we don’t it’s a risk to people slipping so it’s a tricky one! We have left them for now so please let me know if you want me to walk down and collect dogs/bring them back down rather then you coming up and down 😊 I’ve lived with them for years so 😂 it’s no issue for me!
