I have been operating now for over 8 years! Being a solo, one on one groomer creates a much more relaxed atmosphere for your dog, meaning those that are more nervous seem to feel a bit happier about the whole process! I always put WELFARE first so I will adapt grooms as I see fit! No matter what!

Hi all
Please remember that unfortunately I have had to raise prices
It’s now the new tax year so your NEXT groom will be the new price (not those already booked in)
The reason for this is not only the rise in the cost of living but also the quality products I use have risen the cost of blade/scissor sharpening every few weeks has risen plus water bills and electric bills
Remember this is my job I deserve a pay rise as much as anyone else out there grafting and to be able to keep doing what I do I have to raise prices otherwise I won’t be able to carry on grooming as I would have ti find a job elsewhere that effectively pays better
Thanks for your understanding and I will let you know the increase when we next see each other (those that have been I’ll text you before that next groom as I’ve only just got round to going through everything)

Another newbie today 😍 mr Barney!
He was quite nervous but I believe his first groom and he done so good! In all honesty I could’ve done more hair removal 🤣 but I felt he had reached his limits as he was getting more fidgety and starting to whine and pant but owner was more then happy to stop so all good 😍 I think I’ll be hoovering bits of barney up for days 😂 his fur was everywhere!

Introduced this little pickle today! She’s been groomed before with another company but being a little livewire we thoguht we’d go in slowly with just a bath dry and tiny trim and she done much better then I had in mind 😍 let’s hope she does as well when she has her full groom next time round!

WHAT YOU DON'T SEE AT THE DOG GROOMERS.......
You dropped your dog off at the salon and picked them up few hours later - fluffy, fresh, and happy. But what you saw was just the tip of the iceberg.

You didn’t see your groomer arrive early to open up the salon, disinfect tools, lay out fresh towels, and check the day’s appointments. You didn’t see them look over your dog from nose to tail before even lifting a brush - checking the coat condition, skin, eyes, ears, nails, and weight.

You didn’t see the careful way they clipped around a wriggly paw, or how they paused to let your dog calm down during the bath. You didn’t notice the matting hidden beneath your dog’s topcoat, or the way the groomer worked slowly to avoid hurting the skin beneath it.

You weren’t there when they spotted a red patch of irritated skin, or a small lump you hadn’t noticed. You heard them gently mention it to you at collection - not to worry you, but because they genuinely care about your dog’s wellbeing.

And after you left, you didn’t see the clean-down , the floor swept, tables cleaned, blades oiled, messages replied to, notes written up for your next visit, and laundry on again.

All of that… for a price that’s often lower than what you’d pay for your own haircut. And your hairdresser?
They don’t have to bathe you, clip your nails, or hold you still while you try to bite the brush.

The truth is ……. dog grooming is so much more than a haircut.

It’s about health, hygiene, comfort, and trust. It’s about knowing dog anatomy, coat types, skin conditions, behaviour management, handling skills, and safe sc******ng techniques. It’s a profession that takes training, practice, and patience.
Most groomers got into this work because they love dogs. But that doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be paid fairly for the physical, emotional, and skilled work they do every single day.

If your dog leaves their groomer happy, healthy and looking good - it’s not by luck. It’s because you have got a good groomer.
So next time, take a moment to thank them. Leave a review.

Tip them if you can. And above all - don’t undervalue them.
They’re doing far more than just washing the dog.

Why’s hughie so wet?! 🤣 now this is my mums dog who at one point also lived with me for about 4 years he was groomed from the moment we got him anddddd… he’s still a nightmare😂🤦‍♀️ some dogs just don’t like grooming no matter what you do! He HATES BEING DRIED more then anything so I do what I can and give him the freedom to jump off when he has had enough, also I have the luxury of taking all day if needs be as he’s staying so I do him in drive and drabs as you can see but he ends up pretty cute 🥰 I will always put your dogs needs first and will never push them! Of course most dogs I don’t have all day but I’m happy to try over a couple sessions or take an extra hour so to go at their pace 👌 today hughie only “left” me 3 times as you can see in the stages photos 🤣 but sometimes he won’t leave at all, others more 🤷🏼‍♀️

Little muffin got a makeover 😂😍 I promise he actually likes me despite that face 😂🤦‍♀️ he has been wearing a cone of shame for a while due to quite amusing circumstances so he got a bit matted so owner wanted to go short and cute 🥰 his face is a bit choppy as it was beforehand as we had to shave some matts out the other week plus he is a pup with a lot to do 😂❤️ sitting still isn’t on the agenda!

Warning:
Hi all happy new year!
Unfortunately my husband went downhill with sickness possibly flu or a virus… guess who is now showing symptoms 😩
I will do my best to keep working as I always do however with my recent heart diagnosis a lot of cold/flu medication I used to us to power through I can no longer take due to reactions with heart medication !
I’m praying it’s not what’s going around my family as it’s not nice and hopefully I’ve just got a bad cold and paracetamol can keep me going but please understand if I have to cancel and rearrange grooms!
Fingers crossed I’m preparing for the worse and it turns out all fine 😂😩🐩

Just want to thank you all for the amazing support once again over the year ❤️ it’s been a hard one I’ve seen a few amazing little doggies cross the rainbow bridge both young and old 😭 which is always so hard as I groom these dogs for years! Some have some long term health issues so I never know when the last time will be and one had a major operation but pulled through amazingly ❤️ I’ve welcomed some gorgeous new clients who in hope to keep for as many years as those who passed ❤️
Happy Christmas and I’ll see you all in the new year! As always I wouldn’t be where I am without your trust and love so it’s so much appreciated! Now off to the pub 👍🏻🤩🎄🐩
