Scrufts was my creative puppy back in 2008 when I tentatively started making dog collars and leads for my own dogs. I have so many faithful customers it really does make me happy. I spend ages choosing the most fabulous fabrics I can and whipping them up into lush combos for your dogs.

I discovered yesterday that having wrist warmers around your pressure points fools your bod into keeping warm. Who knew 🤷‍♀️

Quick ! I have a few lovely October dog collars left. Pumpkins or Trucks for £8 each plus £2 p&p. Small, Medium and Large (although the small is 2.5cm wide so not brilliant with super ‘small’ dogs but great with long necked lurchers, poodles, working cockers.

Message if you absolutely need one (or two 😉) 🎃

A lovely *new Harris Tweed is hitting the virtual shelves this weekend and it will be another limited edition as it’s from a tiny weaver … here’s Tobermory in either Sea Blues or Beachy Hues AND there’s a lead la-di-dah ! Nice huh….

Popped into the ONLY wool shop in Brighton - I kid you not. One. I was after another ball of Jamieson & Smith 4 ply. Hardly any colours and weren’t ‘likely to get any more soon’. Rest of the shop looking under stocked. My antenna is twitching.

I never in my wildest dreams thought I’d still be happily working at 70, never mind photographing and styling and uploading to my website. If you’d told me that when I was 50 I’d have chortled. Anyway, here I am ! The newly photographed William Morris Petrol Strawberry Thief made, photographed, styled, uploaded : 20 mins tops! Our first family dog was a golden cocker called Bunker and he never made it to wear a Scrufts collar, that came much later …. Keep the faith young ‘uns!

Boots are on my mind FB. As I spend the winter trudging 3-4 hours a day in between sewing, the search for the perfect pair for my wide feet/chunky ankles and calves is never ending…there’s a new pair here, but which ? And … I wasn’t going to repeat the Festive Foxies this year, but here they are !

There’s an ad doing the rounds on the socials which very very strongly echoes some of my introductory blurb on my home page. Not the first I add, but vexing nonetheless ! Anyways, I guess that will happen after 12 years in the biz, so here are some fabulously seasonal Tufty squizzers in the Oak colourway unique to Scrufts 🐿️🐿️🐿️ …. Nuts 🌰!!!

Working my way through my vintage sixties fabric stash, these two fab collars are in Small Skinny and are 20mm wide so perfect for delicate necks. Cockerpoo/westie/terriers form a queue ! Of course, if you have a matching pair then these would be ding dong gorgeous ! And they’re lined with orange velvet as per… The only two in the world are £9.50 each plus postage .. paws in the air if you need one (or both) in your life….. fetch !
