Scrufts was my creative puppy back in 2008 when I tentatively started making dog collars and leads for my own dogs. I have so many faithful customers it really does make me happy. I spend ages choosing the most fabulous fabrics I can and whipping them up into lush combos for your dogs.
Stash sorting has revealed (whisper it) some Xmas bandanas left over from my days on the dog road trip … here are 3 medium and I small reversible of the tie on kind, with a vintage Scottie print on one side and checks on t’other. All four can go for a tenner plus £2 postage. Wave a flag if you’d fancy them for the chums’ stocking fillers ;)
My afternoon wander between the ‘deans….and trudging up between the furrows of a harvested field found two pieces of an old plate and thick chunks of an old bottle. Remnants of a picnic tryst from the late 1890’s ? It would have been Downland back then and these bits and bobs have been rolling around for over 100 years. Isn’t that amazing. They were spread over a 10 metre run too.

Make the most of the wild flowers, both those in bloom and those to come. The glorious lime of the statuesque wild parsnip and umbels of wild carrot will be gone when the 🐑 move into pocket two at Sheepcote on 30/7. Sigh. I really don’t understand the logic of destroying nature just for a big green tick in the eco stakes 🤷♀️. It’s utterly beautiful and lifts the spirits of everyone that uses it for exercise. Even under today’s grey skies it’s beautiful. Ruddy 🐑
Do any of my chums live in/near Ledbury ? I’m enamoured of a Mark Hearld lampshade in Tinsmiths and want to find out how much it is … Tinsmiths don’t seem to have a phone in their shop and aren’t answering messages 🤷♀️

Strangely, the grey and drizzling skies made the wildflowers on my local Iron Age fort dog walk stand out and thanks to my Merlin app I heard a Linnet (!), greenfinch, whitethroat, black cap, buzzard, blue tit, wren and the ubiquitous goldfinch … I rambled slowly …oh yes, free wild raspberries in the mix too.

Boots are on my mind FB. As I spend the winter trudging 3-4 hours a day in between sewing, the search for the perfect pair for my wide feet/chunky ankles and calves is never ending…there’s a new pair here, but which ? And … I wasn’t going to repeat the Festive Foxies this year, but here they are !
