Nacho is an absolute sweetheart of a boy. I adore him. Managed to get a lot of undercoat out today with the help of my new carding tool. He will be feeling a lot cooler now. As well as looking rather cute too.

Rocco was such a happy chappy for his groom. Was so lovely to get snuggles and even kisses. Not such a nervous boy anymore. Just a big waggy tailed happy boy.

Never a truer word said.
Sophie is an amazing vet. Seeing this post from her today resonated with me so much. As see too many dogs out in heat they cannot deal with.
Jamie hadn’t been out since Saturday due to him really suffering in heat and sunshine. Being black really dosent help as it just absorbs the sunshine. Got him out nice and early today before the day started.
Anyone who might want to learn a bit (or a lot xx) about helping their dog should follow her. She has the most amazing online courses available.

Today I am grateful NOT to be working in clinic. No not to enjoy the sunshine, but to be away from the devastation that heatstroke still causes despite multiple warnings. I am grateful not to be battling to save lives, and witnessing unnecessary deaths of wonderful dogs who would have quite happily missed a walk today.

To all my veterinary colleagues, I just hope you do not have to see too many tragedies today. Sending lots of love and healing as it’s part of our job which should no longer be part of our job and has a huge negative mental impact.

Woke up to the devastating news that Charlie has passed away in a tragic accident. He was only 3 years old, and taken so young and so suddenly. Sending all my love and deepest condolences to his devastated family. He was just the sweetest boy.

Double trouble lol !!! Gem and Coco. When they first came to me they were so stressed and scared. Very reliant on each other for their confidence. I had to literally sit on the floor and ignore them for 20 minutes until they felt comfortable enough to come over to me. They were that stressed coming into a new environment. By reading their body language and taking whatever time was needed, they trusted me very quickly. Since then we haven’t looked back. They absolutely love coming now and I must say I look really look forward to our time together . It’s an added bonus I’m a 1-1 groomer too, so no other distractions or dogs. Just full focus on those girls.
