Poppy the Pomeranian struggled with visitors entering and leaving the house, on lead and off lead walks.🐾

Poppy's owners contacted me for help with barking in the house, at visitors and on the lead at other dogs.

Wendy has given us many techniques in the 1-1 training sessions to help with our dog's reactivity. Poppy is a one year old very high energy, excitable dog that feels the need to be constantly on guard😆, we have learnt how to get her to focus more on us and how to become more confident leaders. We now have the knowledge in what to do in certain situations that triggers her reactions.

Wendy came to help me with my miniature schnauzer puppies to stop lead pulling and barking at other dogs on walks, she has given me valuable training tips that make me feel confident to put into place and I have seen an improvement of which I will Continue to work on.

Our dog is a ball of energy that would knock people over when they walked through the door and would pull us relentlessly on walks. Now, we know how to calm him down, he focuses on us when we talk to him and sits in his bed and waits to be released before he can say hello to guests. Our walks are less dragging and more walking beside us and he has come a long way in a very short amount of time thanks to Wendy and her approach. We know we have to carry on with his training at home for it to be engrained but we are incredibly thankful for the help and support Wendy gave us when we felt like giving up.

The best thing you can do for your Excitable dog is to teach them calmness. By just sitting down with your dog on lead for a few minutes a day inside and outside the house. This will teach them to be still teaching them how to be calm and when outside gives them time to get use to sounds and distractions in the environment.

2 days ago Can not recommend Wendy enough. Have one very reactive 4 year old dog and never thought things could change, with Wendy's knowledge and patience we are seeing a difference after only 3 sessions! Has been an absolute joy working with Wendy. That's 3 dogs at the top of the path and within seconds he wasn't interested. Thank you so much!! Very thorough and lovely lady.

Claire contacted me for help as her dog had started to lunge and bark as dogs and people and was unable to settle when they took her to a cafe.

Hi Wendy,

Wanted you to see this, we've been working really hard on the training.
Went to the cafe today and Bella led down for about 15mins,and the cafe was quite busy

This is Russell, his new owners contacted me as they were struggling with getting Russell to listen to them when giving him commands they also wanted help with his recall training.

After the first session his owners saw good progress with him listening to them and understanding what they were asking him to do. He is also progressing well with his Recall

I approached Wendy, as I was struggling to control my 3 year old border collie rescue dog. Mila would get overexcited and have an almost constant need for attention. Mila was also scared of being around other dogs.

After an initial call with Wendy and expressing my concerns , she could tell straightaway what the issues were, and this was confirmed after the first of three visits.

I have learned some simple but very useful techniques, that have helped my Mila become more focused. She is able to concentrate on new commands, and I feel more confident that they are working.

I highly recommend Jump4joy for their friendly, non judgemental approach and effective training.
