RIP The legend that was Paul O' Grady.
Deeply shocking, and saddening.. was such an advocate for the dogs that needed rescuing, and rehomed more himself than perhaps he'd planned! But loved them so much, and gave them a lovely life. He will be missed. But I'm sure his dogs that have gone before him will have met him at the bridge. 🌈💖

I received this for Christmas from a good friend, admittedly I've been a little sceptical (sorry friend!) As to if it really did what it says on the box.. "No more wet dog?"
Really? How can that be?
Well, it can!
After a shower like most, my dogs are particularly good at shaking themselves
And of course typically the spray from wet dog goes everywhere, even after a towel dry.
But with this "sphonge" it actually soaks up the majority of the water, and doesn't drip after or leave a sopping wet towel. The excess wet is soaked up in the towel, and even the floor wasn't as slippery after I had used this!
You can see the picture with the towel in is after drying the dog, and the floor, and having being rinsed after. The result being

Hoping all my clients past and present have enjoyed a lovely Christmas, and are looking forward to the year ahead. Thank you for you support this past year, and for trusting me with the fur members of your family. Each one is special in their own way to me. 😊

Christmas this year has looked slightly different to me, as it's the first in 12 years that I've not had my Number 1 boy with me in the physical sense.
There was no bark at 4am on Christmas morning to tell me my little one was up already!! Checking if Santa had been.
And there was no present under the tree with Merlins name on. 💔
They're not words that are enough to say how much he meant to me. And no its not fair that our faithful companions do not live longer.
But.. the length of time they are on our lives.. whether long or short.. They show us their unwavering, unconditional love, and faithfulness, which makes us the lucky ones to have had that.

So if you're just starting your journey through puppyhood, or pulling your hair out in the adolescent stage, or perhaps enjoying the steady pace before the twilight years.. My advice would be to laugh at their antics, even if sometimes it's hard going, take in every bit of them everyday, and take pictures lots of them..!! Because that small window of times goes by so fast, then slow your pace to match theirs, hold them a bit closer, sit on the floor beside them to watch the TV, or scroll through your phone, and tell them again you love them.
Because you'll be thankful you did, and they'll know you're giving to them what they've always freely given to you.. Love to last a life time. Ours, and theirs 🌈💖🐾

It wouldn't feel right if I didn't mention the passing of our wonderful Queen.
May you rest in peace Ma'am, and know we are so thankful for all you have done since being on the throne.
I did not know you, but as with many shared your love of dogs.
I'll bet everyone of them were running to meet you from the 🌈 bridge!

As each year passes, it is bitter sweet for me..
Great! He's reached another milestone and is generally in good health! :) Sad because no matter how much we wish it, our beloved pets go "over the bridge" way sooner than our hearts are ready.
Today I celebrate you my boy.. Merlin, my loyal, vocal, ALWAYS Number 1 boy.
And as with this past year... Each day with you is a bonus, each photo I take is more special, and each memory we make is captured in my heart forever. ❤️

I dont boast to be a 'big buiness' with lots of clients, as I really only have a few.. But it's those few that remind me...

But it's those few that remind me why I love my job.

I may not have loadsa of money, or be recommended as a big buisiness on social media pages..

However... the faces you see below, are a few of whom that at some point been entrusted into my care... each one different, with differing needs, but all with one thing in common they are loved. ❤ by their humans, and me.
They are the reason i love doing my job :)

This is am amazing example of what to be aware of through other peoples actions, whilst walking you dogs.
I find myself mirroring some of these behaviours with my own dog. And admittedly it can be very frustrating when other people walking their dogs do not react or unfortunately are unable to notice/recognice these signs...
If we are lucky enough, this link will reach far and wide to raise more awareness in our dog community.

It's staying in and keeping these guys safe today.
When you have an active dog, they don't necessarily 'need' a walk every day.. you can tire them out with enrichment activities just as well.. A Kong, liki mats, snuffle mats, puzzlers. Scent work.. To name but a few.. Treats can be used, or part of their daily food intake.
The important thing whatever you choose is to keep your fur family safe.. even if it is just one missed walk. Xx
