Dazzle’s Salt Therapy Session 🧂🐴

This involves gently circulating fine salt particles into her stable, allowing her to breathe in the natural minerals and let them work their magic. Not only does it help support her respiratory health, but it also gave her coat a lovely shine and left her feeling relaxed.

While she didn’t quite nod off, her owner shared that this was actually quite chilled for Dazzle —a big shift from her usual spirited personality! 🧘‍♀️

Salt therapy is a gentle, drug-free way to support horses with conditions like coughs, allergies, or skin issues—and even for general wellbeing.

Well this is crap.....

Look after your babies with pollen allergies tomorrow 😢😢 I find the humid weather makes my boy a lot worse? Anyone else?

I shall top him up with salt to help with any inflammation that comes with the pollen.

✨ Before & After – Salt Therapy Success! ✨

This lovely boy was itchy, sore, and uncomfortable, with open patches, bald areas, and skin that was hot to the touch—particularly over his saddle area, which was so inflamed he couldn’t be ridden. 😢

After a course of Equine Salt Therapy, just look at the difference! 🙌
🌿 The skin is now cool and calm
🌱 Hair growth has returned
🐎 He’s feeling much more comfortable—and is now able to be ridden again!

That said, we’re still on the journey. As you can imagine, he still itches from time to time—these behaviours don’t disappear overnight. Once itching becomes a habit, it takes time and patience to fully settle… a bit like asking us to go without our phones for an hour! 😅📵

Salt therapy has been a big step in the right direction, and we’re so pleased with his progress so far.

The wonderful Bruce giving us a snot show 😪

The salt really draws the mucus off the lungs and you know what else really helps.... GRAVITY!

I always advise a feeding from the ground after a session to allow the mucus to 'exit' naturally. Bruce being the perfect example 🥰🥰. Love him!!!
