The Long Dog Lady
A little about me; I’ve always been dog obsessed and finally welcomed my own little sausage, Milo, in to my family in 2020. Those who know me would definitely say I have an extra passion for dachshunds! (if you know you know) 🌭
It hasn’t all been smooth sailing and I’ve definitely been introduced to some of the more difficult sides of dog raising over the last year and a half. However I have learnt more than I ever would have about dogs, dog guardianship, behaviour, reactivity, enrichment, and meeting a dogs needs as holistically as possible. I wouldn’t change the journey for the world and it’s brought me here!
I’m here to pop in on your dog whilst you’re out for whatever may be needed; cuddles, a walk, some enrichment, training or play. I’m more than happy to adhere to each individuals preferences and requests (if you had my dog yes there would be a long list 😅).
I practice a LIMA based approach (least intrusive minimally aversive), with a focus on force free and positive reinforcement for training, handling and cooperative care.
I aim to develop a positive and healthy bond, at the dogs (animals) pace, with all those I encounter and endeavour to treat them as my own!
I have also previously owned many gerbils, two rats, cats and a tortoise so would love to meet any smaller friends you have too 🐭🐱
