Yes she looks cute in the long grass, but she came out with two ticks on her.
Even if treated the ticks will still attach, it’s not until they bite that the repellent takes effect.

If you find a tick it should be safely removed as soon as possible:

Use fine-tipped tweezers (not the blunt tweezers you use to pluck your eyebrows) or special tick removers; both are available in most pharmacies.
Grasp the tick as close to the skin as possible and slowly pull upwards. Avoid crushing or squeezing the tick and dispose of it once removed.
Clean the bite with antiseptic or soap and water.

Top tips for keeping your furry friends safe now the weather is finally getting warmer
As the temperatures rise. It's generally safe in temperatures of up to 19°C (68°F) but be careful when the mercury rises above this. Even at temperatures as low as 20°C (70°F) dogs are at risk of heat stroke.

🐾Always ensure your pup has access to shade and fresh drinking water.

🐾Damp towels for them to lie on can provide relief from the heat.

🐾Regular grooming in warmer weather can help brush away any dead or excess hair leaving your dog with a less dense coat-making it easier to stay cool!

🐾Some dogs will love a paddling pool to splash around in- not only does this keep them cool but also it’s lots of fun!

🐾Walk your pups in the early morning or evening when it’s cooler to reduce the risk of heatstroke and burning their little paws on the pavement! If the ground is too hot to touch which your hand for 3 seconds it’s too hot for paws!

🐾Use pet safe suncream on exposed parts of your pups skin such as the tips of their ears and nose to avoid sunburn. This is especially important if your dog has white or light-coloured fur!

🐾 Put ice cubes in your dogs water bowl or freeze a kong with treats and water for them to lick!
