I walked into the living room and they were both just completely still like statues in these positions 😂 So random as Eleanor never sits in the middle of the room like that!

Frankie and the cockroach 🪳😂 We all know how much cats love to chase bugs, poor Frankie is very frustrated this one is so far out of his reach! 😂 I just got back from walking the dog and it’s not moved so Frankie has given up! 😂 Fortunately we don’t get too many of these critters in the house!

Hot cat 😂 🥵 🌡️

All our pets are doing a lot of flopping around the place during the hot Bermudian summer!!

This was taken in the evening but the temperature doesn’t really drop at night, it’s usually around 30 degrees in the day and maybe a couple of degrees cooler at night but it’s pretty constant and very humid so it feels a lot hotter!! Thankfully we have air con but it does still get very hot in the house!

Queen of the castle! 🏰 👑

Eleanor loves to sleep on this top level of the cat tree and will either boot Franklin out if he’s sleeping in there so that she can reclaim her throne, or she will share it with him like she is doing here! 😂 She doesn’t look too pleased about it though 😂

It is hot hot hot here in Bermuda now!! ☀️🌡️

Summer is in full swing so lots of air con in the house to keep the pets cool as it’s 28 degrees plus every day now and the humidity makes it feel much hotter.

However cats will be cats and here is Theo still enjoying a bask in the sun too 😂

Remembering our precious Marie today on the one year anniversary of her crossing over the rainbow bridge
😢 💔 🌈

My heart is breaking and I cannot believe I am writing this but on Monday we lost our beautiful baby girl kitten 😢

I rushed her to the vets as soon as I found her unresponsive and they tried CPR but she had no heartbeat, they think that she had a cardiac arrest and there would have been nothing that could have been done to save her 😢 I cried my eyes out in the vets when they told me she was gone 😭

I am still in such shock as she was happily bouncing around with her brothers that morning, I cannot get my head around the fact she is no longer here and that nature can be so cruel 😔

I know I had not yet revealed our theme for this year’s litter but I decided to honour her memory by keeping the names I had chosen. I will reveal the boys’ names in due course but our baby girl was Pushinkas Marie Antoinette, and she will always be in our hearts 💔

I am sorry for my lack of responses this past couple of days as I know I have so many emails and messages to reply to, but I hope you will all understand me taking some time to grieve the loss of our beautiful little baby girl 💔

Franklin approved of the new footstool I bought!! 🥰

It lasted about three days before Madam Eleanor p*ed on it 😭 The joys of an ex-breeding girl!! 😫 Despite being spayed now she still likes to mark her territory unfortunately!

So the footstool now spends its life covered in scatter cushions so she cannot climb on it, except when it’s being used for resting feet 😂 And it still smells of cat p*e despite my best efforts with using special enzyme cleaner stuff 😞

I feel bad that Frankie doesn’t get to roll around on it anymore as he really took a liking to it in those few days!!

Eleanor and Franklin 🥰

These two are so funny, insisting on squeezing themselves into the top basket on the cat tree together! 😂 sometimes I hear them squabbling because Madam Eleanor jumps up and boots out whoever is already in there and then settles herself down like the queen on her throne 😂

But Eleanor and Franklin really do love each other and will often squeeze in together which is hilarious because it’s really only big enough for Eleanor (a dinky cat) on her own, so I can’t get my head around how Franklin fits in as well 😂😂😂

We brought this cat tree over brand new with us from the UK in our shipping container when we moved to Bermuda last October, and so annoyingly due to the humidity here the sisal scratching posts on the bottom level are already mouldy 😫
