Please meet our brilliant receptionist Jo, and lovely Vet Fran! 👋
Both Jo and Fran will be talking you through everything you need to know about the upcoming microchip legislation, and what happens in an microchipping appointment! 😻

Blood Pressure Screening 👩⚕️
Did you know that it is recommended that all cats over the age of 7 should have Blood Pressure screening once to twice a year? 🤯
This is why we offer FREE blood pressure screening to all of our Pet Health Club clients at your PHC Vaccination or Health Check appointments! 🥳
Cats with high blood pressure (also known as Hypertension) appear healthy until major problems occur.
Prolonged untreated high blood pressure can cause organ damage to:
- Eyes 👀
- Heart ❤️
- Brain 🧠
- Kidneys 🫘
However, high blood pressure is easily treated with medication once diagnosed! 💊
If you already have an appointment booked, but would like your cat to have a blood pressure check at the same time, please call us on 01454 312312 so we can get this added to your appointment! 🩺
If you're not part of the Pet Health Club, please call us on the number above and speak to one of the team, to discuss blood pressure checks!🐱
To thank you all for taking the time to read this post, we have included a much needed video of Ozzie being the best boy, and enjoying Lick-e-Lix whilst having his blood pressure measured ❤️
🐈🩺 KITTEN'S FIRST VACCINE AND HEALTH CHECK 🐈🩺
Join our Vet Fran as she vaccinates our receptionist Jo's brave kitten Gabi!
HISTORY -
First of all, we discuss Gabi's history, and how she's settling in at home. We discuss her diet, home environment and what anti-parasite treatment she has received 🏡 .
This is a good opportunity for Jo to discuss any worries or questions she has with Fran.
HEALTH CHECK & VACCINES -
Next is the weight & health check, from nose to tail! 🐱
Then it's the vaccine, with lots of treats and head scratches to keep her distracted 🍽. We vaccinate kittens 3-4 weeks apart, covering Feline Leukaemia Virus, Feline Panleucopenia, Feline Calicivirus and Feline Herpes virus (cat flu), as recommended by the World Small Animal Veterinary Association. 🌎
WHAT'S NEXT?
Then we discuss the benefits of neutering, when to microchip her (which is a legal requirement in the UK as of June 2024), insurance, flea and worming protocols and anything else Jo would like to discuss. 💙
Overall Gabi was super brave, and we look forward to seeing her back in 3-4 weeks!⭐️
Well done Jacqui Gilbert for winning our giveaway! 🥳🥳

Again thank you all for your support over the last 3 months - we wouldn't be where we are without our lovely client base!
Keep your eyes peeled for our next giveaway 😁
