A few weeks ago, some of our staff spent the day in a workshop, learning about Animal Assisted Interventions with the talented Sarah Urwin. She taught the staff how they could further promote people’s mental, physical, and social well-being when working with the animals 🐏

The staff that attended the training felt it was “affirming in terms of what we already provide our beneficiaries”, “inspired new ideas for moving forward” and “showed how closely animal and human welfare is intertwined”.

Volunteer with the Green Care Team at the Farm!

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to lend a hand in our vibrant Community Garden, polytunnel, and other growing spaces. Help us look after these spaces while working alongside amazing adults with learning disabilities in our supportive, fun environment!

Some gardening knowledge is desirable but we will support and supervise you to improve your skills. It's not physically demanding work, and we take an organic approach to gardening 🌱

We've got some exciting news to share with you! 😄

We're super grateful to have received a £3,350 grant from Thrive Renewables, which led to us being able to install a brand-new electric heating system and LED lighting in our community building! Now we can keep our space warm and welcoming throughout the winter, ensuring our services and space hire have a cosy place to be in.

This upgrade will help us save on energy costs, whilst also allowing us to invest more into our community services.

A MASSIVE thank you to Thrive Renewables for helping us take this step toward a more energy-efficient future

It's a name many might find hard to pronounce, but did you know, that St Werburghs is named after a 7th-century saint known for her love of nature and animals?

How fitting it is, that our neighbourhood feels like a little green oasis in the heart of Bristol! And at the farm, we are very proud to be part of this vibrant community, where eco-homes meet street art, where community gardens, allotments, and mini woodlands thrive 💚

We hope you'll come visit soon, meet the animals, grab a bite at the café, and perhaps, feel the spirit of St Werburghs for yourself!
