Happy New Year from all of us at the Farm! 🎉
We’re so excited for everything 2025 has in store!

This year, we’re looking forward to welcoming you throughout the seasons. Whether it’s to enjoy the green spaces, join fun events, or say hello to the animals.

And with spring on the horizon, we're super excited about welcoming baby chicks and a goat kid or two! 😍

Wishing all our followers a very Happy Christmas and a heartfelt thank you for your support over the past year! Your generosity and kindness help us make a difference in our community 🧡

We’ll be taking a Christmas break from posting on socials but will be back in the New Year.

The Farm remains open 9am–4pm over the festive period, except for the following days when we’ll be closed:

Christmas Eve (24th December)
Christmas Day (25th December)
Boxing Day (26th December)
New Year’s Eve (31st December)
New Year’s Day (1st January)

Your donation could help someone like Eliza, who came to the Farm after facing immense loss. Through our Volunteering for Wellbeing sessions, Eliza found a safe space to learn new skills, build confidence, and connect with others.

Grief and mental health recovery take time, but with your support, we can continue providing life-changing opportunities for people like Eliza.

Just one more sleep!

Our team has been hard at work preparing for the Farm’s annual Winter Fair tomorrow.
The forecast is looking good, with mild temperatures and even some chance of sunshine!

The Farm will be filled with live music, local traders and craft makers, family activities, and a wreath-making workshop. We hope to see you there to support the work of the Farm, and get excited for the start of the festive season with us 🤩

Gift, gifts... Come get your gifts!

This Sunday, Watercress Road in St Werburghs will come alive with local traders, makers, and crafters. It’s the perfect chance to find thoughtful gifts for yourself or someone special while supporting small, independent businesses.

Our Farm Stall will also be there, offering handmade products crafted by our incredible volunteers and service users. Every purchase helps fund our horticultural services for neurodiverse individuals and those with learning disabilities, ensuring these vital projects can continue 🧡

Our community garden is missing a something familiar....

our much-loved rubber tyre cockerel has been taken down 😢

Originally created by the talented Serbian artist Szabolcs Vass during the first summer of the pandemic, this sculpture was a fantastic example of turning recycled materials into art! Szabolcs is also the artist behind the Scrapstore Robot at Children's Scrapstore Bristol.

Sadly, the wooden base of the cockerel had deteriorated, making it unsafe to keep in place. While it had to be removed, we're actively exploring ideas for a replacement. Fingers crossed, we'll have something new to enjoy by spring! ☀

Meet Angharad, our new ewe at the Farm 🤩

She’s a Balwen Welsh Mountain sheep, a rare breed known for its striking white face stripe, socks, and tail tip. Angharad, named after the wife of king rhodri mawr, retired from breeding at Elm Tree Farm and has joined us as a companion for Teasel, our handsome wether.

Balwens are a hardy, ancient breed that almost went extinct in the 1970s. Angharad is settling in well and enjoying the company of her new pal.
