Clockwork Lemon Hot Sauce is now back in stock, as is the Ginger Submarine. Many thanks to The Upton Cheyney Chilli Farm for cooking up the latest batch of these fine pair of sauces, which feature Lemon Drop and Submarine chillies respectively, and which are grown in a polytunnel in St. Annes, Bristol. The Clockwork lemon is the sweeter of the two, containing apricots, whereas the Ginger Submarine has a sharper, ginger-forward flavour profile. The Clockwork Lemon is medium to hot, whereas the Ginger Sub has a bit more of a kick, but it's probably not too eye-watering for most tastes. I can confirm that both sauces are better than a kick in the yarbles any day...

These two sauces are exclusive to the Hot Sauce Emporium, and can only be found in our shop in Bristol's historic St Nicholas Market.

A frosty morning today on the farm. Whilst checking on the propagators noticed the beautiful patterns the frost has left on the tunnel walls!

The chilli growing year begins! Today we started germination for 2025. First waive are Fruitburst Habanero, Orange Habanero, Fatali and 7 Pot Habanero!

This years Bath Christmas Market was such fun.

We met so many wonderful people, all of whom were full of praise and love for the chilli!

We’re excited to announce that Bath Christmas Market will be open on Sunday 8th December. 🥰🥳

We will be open from 10am to 6pm so make sure to come down, grab a mulled wine, and pick up some Christmas goodies from lots of incredible independent businesses. Huge thanks to the whole team who have been working hard throughout the day to ensure we can all enjoy the market tomorrow. It’s still meant to be a bit blustery so if you’re visiting, make sure to wrap up warm!

⚠STORM DARRAGH CLOSURE ON SATURDAY 7TH DECEMBER.⚠

We take the safety of the public, stall holders and our staff seriously with this in mind and the Met Office forecast of winds exceeding 60mph from Storm Darragh we have taken the decision not to open Bath Christmas Market tomorrow, Saturday 7th December.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this causes but safety as to be our first priority – we look forward to seeing everyone back when we reopen. We hope to be back on Sunday 8th at 10am ready for another day of trading. Please keep checking back for updates.
