STOP!!! Time to change your mind about how to wear out your dog! Yes they need regular exercise to stay physically fit but if you really want to wear them out and have a chilled day think about using there brain.
Mabel has not had a walk today, it’s 2pm. She’s fast asleep…. We did a scent work class from 10-11am this morning! It’s totally wiped her out without any racing around! Maybe attend an obedience class, scent work, man trailing, get them thinking and get them feeling satisfied! And you can have a relaxed Sunday too!
Drop me a what’s app on the button below or email [email protected] to find out about our weekly classes combining obedience with fun games, tricks and some basic scent searches!

I’ll be honest…… girls night out in town…. Yes! Taking the pup????? Maybe! But as hubby was out and kids busy and I didn’t want to just leave her I went for it! We got the bus into town ( first ever bus as always used trains) walked through town, met friends, went to a pub for three hours! Then walked back to bus and home! For some dogs that’s easy, no drama right!!!! But for a dog that’s sensitive and a bit of a stress head it’s a huge deal! But guess what all the small bits of training over the last two years added up and she nailed it!
It’s lush when your dogs can join you in life!! Shout if that feels like a huge milestone and I can help you get there!!! We had the BEST night out in town! Love you Mabel 💕💕💕

There's going to be some changes too Mutleys, we are loosing our OG hall in Clifton and looking for a new location for Monday nights as well as hoping to add in a Plus class in Framtpon Cotterell....

If any one knows of a hall (Clifton/Redland/Horfield/Stoke Bishop) that would take pups and have space on Mondays/Tuesdays/Wednesdays please send over ideas..... my Redland hall may be able to take us I am waiting confirmation.

Frampton people would you have been able to make a 5pm class on a Monday or is that generally too early (looking at a Plus type class)......

Any thoughts would be great, thanks all!

What’s the best way to get help with your dog??????
It’s to research, book and pay a trainer and follow there advice for a good amount of time. On line trainers might make it look like there’s a quick fix but there rarely is. Making changes or training takes time, patience and commitment! Things won’t change in a week but they will improve over time with consistency. Equally asking on social media sites won’t get you an answer, it will further confuse you! I see regularly worrying advice on different social media pages….. my dog has started growling when they have a chew what should we do….. answers ranged from take it away every time to leave dog alone when eating….. these are not professionals and have no qualifications to offer advice. Find a trainer that uses methods your happy with, understands your dog and stick with their advice to see improvements!

Did you know this? 👀

Short bursts of play… like a quick game of tug - can be just as effective as a long walk for burning off energy and relieving stress! Plus, play strengthens your bond with your dog and keeps them happy, healthy, and satisfied. 🫶

We think every dog guardian should know this! Hit share to spread the word. 👌

If anyone can chuck a couple of pounds our way to keep giving us the strength to run in the freezing cold we really do appreciate it! £200 raised so far!!!!!! Thanks to all that have donated!

So tonight Mabel found a duster on the stairs! Love her so much, she bought it to me to play fetch with! Wonder if she will help with the housework…….
Remember, with your puppy don’t take everything off them! If you left it out it’s your fault they have it! By prising it out of there mouth you are giving the item value and could cause them to start guarding things or even worse swallowing them! If it’s not dangerous ignore it and pick it up later when they have left it alone! If it’s dangerous run to the fridge to get a piece of something yummy to trade!
Puppy proofing is a thing for a reason, if they can’t get it in the first place the problem doesn’t exist! Put things out of the way, fence off bits of the garden that have stones/bulbs! Then it doesn’t become a longer term issue! Mabel learnt as a pup that I would trade or she could keep it, we played fetch with pigs ears and chews before she settled to eat them, so brings it to me for a play….. it’s a duster I can replace it! Make bringing things to you worth while!

So this week we had a huge achievement in agility. Mabel conquered the weaves doing six closed weaves for the first time! One of the harder things to accomplish and now we can move on to 12 poles and start competing! Super chuffed with my crazy spaniel 💕💕💕💕💕
