💗 Getting a sneaky, cheeky catch up with my 'zen dog' today 💗

Despite being in my 'other work' since 2am, wild horses wouldn't have stopped me taking the opportunity to catch up with Purdey after work for a meander and it didn't take her long to rememeber where the treat pouch was! A treat of liver squares, sprats and chicken awaited the golden bear 🥰

I don't have my van these days, or the really easy set up that I had with the van but the car is still set up for solo/small family group dogs, and I still have enough kit to transport dogs safely (I have my own remember!) A little help up into the back seat for P Dog into the hammock and a secure seat belt fastening (attached to a harness) and we were off for adventures 🥰

Easy to use, our cooling pet collar is a safe way to help combat overheating during hot days and long walks. As dogs can't sweat they pant to control their temperature, the hotter they get the harder they have to work to cool themselves down so sometimes they need extra help from us.

To use, submerge collar in cold water for around 1 minute, then wring out excessive water and it's ready to wear.

The unique material has a special surface that allows liquid through to the highly absorbent inner, the bandana then retains moisture for hours no need for refrigeration.

Each bandana comes with reusable plastic tube, before going on a long walk simply activate the collar, place back into the tube and throw into your bag for when you need it later.

A trip to the local dog field had an unexpected twist today...not one but 2 of the old members were getting a fresh new trim at the GroomShed. Obviously, I had to go and say hello 💗💗

My photography skills are clearly still dire as I captured Wilms mid head move, but Bodie managed to strike a pose 🥰🥰

I miss the dog squad and their owners tremendously. Little moments like this really cheer me up 💗💗

I have a new phone, which means a few things:

As part of my MSc in Applied Animal Behaviour and Welfare I am exploring the current attitudes of dog owners towards their pet nutrition choices. Furthermore, I am interested in finding out if there is any correlation between diet and health/behavioural issues.

My favouritest mentalist is back for 2 days only, so we hit up the local dog field to participate in lots of free running...and by we, I mean he, HE did a lot of running, I just ambled around wondering if he every actually runs out of energy 🤔 also including his best mentalist face to date 🤣

Fox face Finn enjoyed a chilled out, sniffy adventure today.

Finn is an anxious soul and rubs his eyes when he's having a wobble (he is on meds for both these). I really enjoy our chilled out adventure time and allowing him to just do his own favourite things like sniffing, treat searches and getting chocolatey paws in the field stinks and bogs🐾🥰

Taking a few moments out of a walk to appreciate the peace and tranquility of this gorgeous Swan.

Fred being the little legend that he is gave zero cares about the Swan as we watched it go about its business before cracking on with our walk.

Being able to work outdoors and appreciate the wonder of the world is great for the mind and soul!

I wished I'd zoomed in on this. Standard pre-belting around the field like maniacs phase! This can last anything from a few seconds to half a minute as standard practice. The vocalisation is Jessie, who gets a little vocal when Baxter and her have a run around, these two have bonded over their love for running since day dot (some 4.5yrs ago when Baxter joined the squad). Baxter has realised that he's not as nifty as ex racer Jessie, but that doesn't stop them belting around like loons...until Jessie's knackered herself out. That's the trouble with sprinters Bax, no staying power! 🤣
