Friends For Pets Friends for Pets was set up in the Cheddar area of Somerset in 2008. My career background is in law and I qualified as a solicitor over eleven years ago.

We are a pet sitting company offering a range of very flexible pet care services including:-
Dog Walking
Overnight dog boarding
Doggy day care
Adventure Walks
Cat Sitting
Pet Visits to your home
House Sitting
Poo Collection Within a couple of months of starting up, rapid growth of the company meant a couple of extra pairs of hands were needed to help with the increasing number of clients. This gro

wth continued until we had around 85 pet carers covering a large area of the South West. This was proving very difficult to manage from one central office and standards of service were slipping so it was decided to franchise the company so each area could be managed by a person local to the area who could keep the highest standards of pet care and allow a more controlled growth of the company. Each team has a small, long-standing team of pet carers that become extended members of our client’s families. Becca is exceptionally picky with who is awarded a franchise and only looks for animal-focused franchise owners who are driven by the same ethics and standards as herself making us stand apart from other franchised pet companies. A few years on and we have developed an Award-Winning team of expert managers and pet carers who offer the highest standard of Pet Care that we can to local communities. Let’s hear a little from Lucy who runs the Bristol and South Gloucestershire Teams…

I live with my two fur babies, Maisie and Alfie the miniature dachshunds. I have always been an animal lover, having grown up in Wales with cats and dogs in our family, as well as guinea pigs, hamsters, fish and even terrapins at one point! In 2018, I was looking for day care options for Maisie and Alfie and I came across Friends for Pets. I ended up having a conversation with Becca which turned out to be life changing – it came at a time when I was feeling totally disillusioned with working full time in an office environment. I knew I wanted to do something else so when Becca mentioned that an opportunity had come up in the Bristol team I jumped at the chance, and the rest is history! I now have a fantastic team of pet carers, as well as my area supervisor Elen. Through the hard work and dedication of them all, we have built up an absolutely amazing pet car offering in the Bristol and South Gloucestershire areas. All of our pet carers have close relationships with their clients and their pets and we really do aim to be part of your extended family! Elen is really passionate about quality pet care. "I think it's so important and my motto is "I treat them like they're my own" and I really do stand by it. I love helping to manage our Bristol team!"

The Cinnamon Trust is a UK charity dedicated to supporting elderly and terminally ill pet owners, ensuring their beloved animals are cared for when they can no longer do so. 💜

🐶 What They Do:
✔ Provide volunteers to walk dogs for owners in need
✔ Foster pets when owners are in hospital
✔ Find loving forever homes if an owner passes away

Their mission? Keeping pets and their owners together for as long as possible! 🐾💖

Ambassador of the month AUGUST: Lucy Mills Friends For Pets Friends for Pets Bristol and Brecon. In 2018, when Lucy was looking for day care options for Maisie and Alfie her two miniature dachshunds, she came across Friends for Pets. Lucy still wanted to have a career in Law so has always worked part time in her Law job as well as owning her Bristol franchise. After success in Bristol, Lucy took on an additional franchise in Brecon. By 2021 Lucy was running two successful businesses and working part time in Law! On top of all this professional success, Lucy now has the wonderful gift of beautiful baby girl. We are a pet sitting company offering a range of pet care services including:- Dog Walking Doggy Day Care Overnight Dog Boarding in our pet carers homes Cat Sitting Pet Visits to your home House Sitting Dog Walking & Pet Sitting Services are offered by different teams of pet carers in the Cheddar Valley, North Somerset, the Chew Valley, Bristol, Cardiff, Wells, Bath, Bradford-on-Avon, Frome, North London and Hertfordshire. Our pet carers have a wealth of experience from being lifelong pet owners to dog trainers to vet students and vet nurses. Most have a minimum of a BTEC Diploma in Animal Care and all managers hold a Canine First Aid Certificate. Each pet carer holds a DBS check (the current CRB check) and can provide references. All new pet carers are enrolled on to our pet sitter award scheme to enhance their knowledge of pet behaviour, health and welfare. We offer a discrete visiting service by not using sign-written vehicles to visit client's homes so keeping your home's and pet's security an upmost priority. We offer an initial meeting between your pet carer and yourself to ensure everyone is happy with the arrangements.
