We have been completely overwhelmed by the incredible response to our sad announcement on Friday. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts for all your wonderful words of support. We are really touched at how many people have responded with comments, messages and emails. It has certainly been our privilege to have been able to make memories for so many over the years.

*** IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT ***

As many of you are aware our schooling facilities here at Rabson Manor have been open over 15 years and we have really loved seeing you all come here for schooling and enjoying all that we have to offer.
However, in the current climate, our running, maintenance and particularly insurance costs have increased to a level where it is not practical to remain a viable part of our business. It is with immense sadness that we are closing our lovely XC with immediate effect, along with the SJ and Dressage Areas.
George and I are so sad that this is the situation, we’ve met so many wonderful people over the years and want to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for the amazing times we have had with you. It truly made us so happy seeing so many happy riders and horses here and having been able to make such special memories.
We have spoken with those who had already booked in for Rallies, Camps and the PC Show and we’re so sorry not to be able to host these events, which I know are very much looked forward to.
We wish everyone luck for the forthcoming season and thank you so much for all your support over the years – we’ll miss you.

With the ongoing hot weather, we're mindful of the water shortage and therefore the water jump in the middle field won't be topped up.
However, we will keep the round water open, as the evaporation from there is less.
Sorry for any inconvenience, but we're just trying to be sensible and hope you understand.

PC Camps
We're looking forward to hosting PC Camps here later this week and next week, so whilst they're here the Dressage and SJ won't be available for booking
XC will be available before 1000 and after 1600 on those days 😎

We loved hosting the Area Dressage here on Sunday. Many thanks to the Tedworth PC for all their help to make such a happy, successful and smooth event. Congratulations to all the riders and their support teams - we loved seeing so many happy people here in the sunshine!

That's good news!

****** WE ARE GOING AHEAD!!!******

We have decided to proceed with our event on the 16th/17th April at Ascott under Wychwood.

We do still have plenty of space for a 90 or 80 run on the Saturday, so if you want to come and have a run please do get your entries in!

It takes an army to put these events on, so if you have decided not to affiliate this year and having a season off, please give me a day or 1/2 of your time and volunteer! I need a range of roles still! Please tx on 07788412232 or [email protected]

You will be fed, watered, and get a little gift to show our appreciation! If you have never done volunteering before please don’t let that put you off, we can pair you up to make sure you are happy and confident before taking on the role.

A lovely event - great viewing!

We are close but not quite there!!!

Our Sunday looks good( 90 & 100) but Saturday (80 & 90) is not viable currently. I am not in a position to run just one day.

We are going to hold fire on making a decision for another week, we have removed the late entry fee.

If you are thinking of coming to Ascott under Wychwood for our first event of the season please don’t hesitate to get your entry in. Our courses are beautifully prepared and they are always inviting courses for our April event to help you dust off the cobwebs and get your season rolling!

As the Sundance seems to have worked well, we will be Open for XC from tomorrow - hooray!
Only the top two fields will be available at the moment, but still a great selection of fences.

Frustratingly after the tremendous amount of rain on Wednesday we're sorry to say that the XC will not be open tomorrow, 19th March.
I will refund tomorrow's bookings and we will make a decision tomorrow about Sunday.

XC prep well underway and the website is open for bookings from 12th March - as long as weather is kind this week 🤞
It will be the top 2 fields open, as the bottom one needs lots more dry weather before we can open it!

Emily Young-Jaimeson is now looking for a head person to join the team. Also a super opportunity for a keen working pupil or apprentice to join ahead of the season to help achieve their own goals…

A very exciting string of horses for the 2022 season with horses ranging from babies to 4* level.

Lovely indoor yard with excellent facilities at Rabson Manor Swindon Wiltshire .

Head role includes
▪️all normal yard duties
▪️confident handling fit competition horses
▪️good turn out skills inc plaiting, clipping, mane & tail pulling etc
▪️travel to national and international competitions and training
▪️ ability to take sole charge when necessary
▪️good rider and HGV a bonus but not essential
▪️attention to detail, excellent work ethic and good sense of humour

Working Pupil/Apprentice
▪️someone with a keen interest in Eventing looking to gain more experience on a top class professional yard
▪️this would suit someone with their own horse who could benefit from Emily’s excellent coaching skills
▪️travel to competitions and training to be part of a package
▪️Haddon Apprenticeship level 1-2-3 available

At present there is no accommodation on site for either of these roles, however there is plenty of local accommodation available.
