We don’t only see pets here at Briar House! 🦭 Today the British Divers Marine Life Rescue came in to see us with this beautiful seal pup rescued from Margate sea front yesterday afternoon, she was marked with blue spray for identification and then brought in to us to see our lovely vet Cellina (who is currently undertaking her specialisation in exotic and wildlife medicine) , who assessed and cleaned her wounds and sent her on her way to the rehabilitation centre where she will be nursed back to full health, ready for release back in to the sea! 🌊 Thank you to the British Divers Marine Life Rescue for allowing us to see these wonderful creatures who we are so lucky to have populating the UK! 🤍

Little Olive 🫒 This poor girl was brought to us after her owners noticed she had been sneezing, and strongly suspected that she may have a grass seed stuck in her nose!🌱 We managed to assess Olive, and agreed there was very likely a foreign body in her nasal cavity, so we gave her an anaesthesia and began exploring options for removal. 🩺 Luckily for Olive, we have an endoscope on site, which meant we were able to enter her nasal cavity with a small camera, and confirm the presence of a grass seed!
