Good morning all,

Unfortunately, I have made the decision to close Home From Home Hutches.

I am truly grateful to you all for your continued support over the years, our little chats at drop offs and pick ups, and for allowing me to look after all your amazing pets. I am honestly going to miss it all but now I’m working full time and with normal family demands, it’s all become a little too much to keep running.

I know the calendar is full until January, everyone that has booked in for this year DO NOT PANIC! All the hutches will remain here until then, so all your bookings are secure. However, I won’t be taking any other boarders in from now!

Thank you all again, these last 5 years have been amazing!

Afternoon you fabulous lot,

For those of you that haven’t been by for a little while, I just wanted to pop on and let you know why the page is a little quiet.
We are still very much open (and at times very busy) and we love having all your furry pets coming to visit us on the farm but I am now back working full time. I have been since September which has made getting back to everyone a little slower than before. I’m fortunate to have my husband, Joe and mother in law, Thelma around to help with drop offs and pick ups (I’m sure most of you have seen them in recent visits) but that’s where their help stops. I am the only one that does the admin side of it all which has proven to be a little tricker to juggle at times.
I know we can all have crazy family lives, where the kids seem to have more of a social life than us, but some weeks can be crazier than others when you add work, general life and trying to keep the house from turning into a giant dust ball. I do try to get back to you all as quickly as I can but I’m only human and know there’s bound to be a few messages or emails I’ve forgotten about or missed.
If you’ve sent me something and you are still waiting for a response then I’m super sorry, just drop me another message and I’ll promise to get it all sorted as quickly as possible. Everything else is as it has been - all your pets are we looked after and enjoy their time here as they always have done - I just don’t get the same time to sit and take photos like I did before, hence the quiet page.

It’s official! We have some bookings on the calendar! I know it’s not been easy for many of us, and we still have some challenging times ahead, but there seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel?! I’ve got a few bookings pencilled in already for the summer and I have to say, I can’t wait to see your gorgeous furry friends, I’ve missed them! As and when you can start getting away, I’m here, and looking forward to welcoming you back 😍

A little about us...

Home From Home Hutches is a family run business set up on our farm. Between us we have a life time of animal experience....we’ve had everything from hamsters to rabbits, dogs to horses, we’ve even had an iguana. You’ll find plenty of animals to look at when you come and visit us on the farm.

We know how difficult it can be to go away on holiday without our beloved pets. We are lucky we have each other to look after all of our animals when we go away, but its not always possible for our family and friends to pop into our homes to help us out. At Home From Home Hutches we are fully insured through Pet Plan and hope we can put you and your pet(s) at ease, making it a little easier to go away knowing they are happy and safe with us.

Our spacious 5ft hutches are custom made to fit the indoor space and will be cleaned and disinfected between each guest. Due to the ever changing British weather we have indoor and outdoor runs, this means your furry friends will always have their exercise time. We understand that each rabbit and guinea pig have their individually intelligent and inquisitive personalities, and all need comfort and stimulation, as well as ‘home from home’ love and attention. We aim to give each guest everything they need to have a fun filled, relaxing holiday of their very own.

Throughout their stay they will always have fresh water and will be fed their recommended amount of Heygates Pellets. Alongside their pellets they will have fresh veggies such as carrots, kale and sweet cabbage and a never ending amount of hay. If your pet has particular feeding needs we are happy for you to bring their own food along with them.
