Sadly there was an RTA involving a ginger and white cat on the main road outside the practice on Monday evening. The cat had sadly already passed by the time they arrived to the practice. He was an entire male, ginger and white with no microchip. We will hold him for 7 days to try and find his owner.

Tomorrow is bonfire night, here are our top tips to keep your furry friends safe and happy 🐶 🐱 🐰

- Keep them indoors
- Ensure dogs have ID collars on them
- Create safe area for them
- Radio or TV should be on to block out the noise
- Walk dogs earlier to avoid fireworks

**Please also consider the hedgehogs 🦔- check bonfires before lighting them**

Princess Pumpkin came in to see Rob for her vaccinations and microchip this week 🎃 She came through to the prep area to meet the rest of the team who all fell in love with her 🐱

It’s coming up to firework season. This can be very distressing for some of our pets and it’s always best to be prepared in advance.

Today is Veterinary Receptionist Appreciation Day!

Receptionists play a key role within the practice to keep it functioning smoothly and they are usually the first point of contact for our lovely clients.

Meet the team again! We have another nurse to introduce to you all, Kirstie has been with us for a couple of months now.

Kirstie has been in the industry since 2014 and started out as a Patient Care Assistant then going on to qualify as a Nurse. She enjoys all aspects of the job but has a keen interest in nurse consults.
When not at work, Kirstie is kept busy at home with her young daughter, Maisie the dog 🐶 (pictured) and Nala the cat 🐱

* Owner now found* Thank you to everyone who has shared our post, we are delighted to have reunited him with his owners today

We have had a Bengal brought into us this morning that has been involved in an RTA. Only clipped by the car going at slow speed and no obvious injuries. They are microchipped but it is not up to date and has only the breeder details on.
We have given pain relief and will keep them with us over the weekend.
Found Bettisfield Avenue, Bromborough.
Proof of ownership will be required

We have a new member of staff to introduce to you all who started with us a couple of months ago.
This is Ellie, our Patient Care Assistant. She has been in the veterinary industry since 2016 in both referral hospital and first opinion practice. She can’t wait to expand her knowledge and skills at Riverside Vets and hopes to one day become a Registered Veterinary Nurse.
Outside of work, Ellie likes to go on long hikes with her cockapoo, Frank (in the picture) and various other crafts

Roy and Dave are only 11 weeks old! As they are Continental Giants they may reach over 10kg in size once they are fully grown. Perfectly well behaved for their first vaccinations. 🐰🐰🐇🐇

Rocco visited us yesterday and was very brave when having his nails clipped by Lucy, one of our nurses. He got lots of cuddles and even posed for a photo like a pro! 🐶
