Good evening everyone,

I hope you and your equines are surviving this crazy weather! 🔥

An update on the course and schedule:

We are not open in this heat wave, that is a given, but we have had an abundance of keen riders messaging for our re opening date.

So, I have made the decision to wait until we have a good dose of rain before we re-open, it is not an easy decision by any means, but the intense heat has meant that it is simply not possible for us to water the course enough to make the footing spongy enough for us to be comfortable with.

This is taking into account that the whole course at ELXC is utilised by almost all of our visitors, lots who come just for a gallop on the 25 acres of hills so it’s not just the jumps, takeoffs and landings that we need to keep in top condition.

Unfortunately I don’t know how long it will be until we get rain but the well extablished meadow grass which is harrowed and aerated meticulously should respond very well to it when it does arrive.

I will let you all know as soon as we re open bookings, and we should also have our summer holiday schedule ready to release at the same time!

Something a bit different and fun! 😁

This is the perfect opportunity for horses and/ or their riders who aren’t quite ready to tackle ridden xc or want to step it up a level before their next outing 🥳

XC ON THE GROUND!

- This Saturday and Sunday from 2pm.

-90 minute slots.

-Maximum of 2 horses on course at one time for safety.

Lunge, lead or ride over all of the course, including the water complex at ELXC 😀

Xc on the ground is perfect for young or unsure horses, for building confidence and to tackle those pesky ditches/ drop into water/ skinnies/ bright scary jumps with your own 2 feet firmly on the ground!

Horses still must be a minimum of 3 years old and handlers still must wear all correct safety equipment.

The course will be manned to ensure all gates remain closed between sections.

There will be no flags on fences for safety reasons but the Show jumps will still available for you to use.

Thank you for all your messages! We know you are sad that the XC is closed but we have news 😁

A DIFFERENT FORMAT FOR THIS WEEK AND NEXT WEEK ONLY

Here’s how it will work:

- £10 sole use for an hour! Additional horses £5

- Open 10am - 9pm! (last slot at 8)

- Access to ‘The valley’ section of the course for as much grass galloping/ hill work/ fitness as you like!

- A varied selection of show-jumps and XC jumps for you to use.

This should be a really fun trip out, whether you want to jump or not, you’ll get to enjoy a canter up some of the best hills in Worcestershire.
