The 1897 Challenge is here and we're asking pet lovers across the country to rise to the challenge of gaming or streaming for 1,897 minutes during March to help honour the people and pets helped since Blue Cross were founded, and to ensure that we can be there to make an even bigger difference in the future.
It might sound like a lot, but it's just over an hour a day so it's the purr-fect excuse for you to put your feet up and relax with your favourite game safe in the knowledge that you're changing lives!
Whether you prefer tapping away on your favourite mobile games, booting up the PC or a classic console, or even hosting a board game night, it's a great opportunity to fundraise from the comfort of your own home.

"It is coming up to two weeks since we adopted Willow and Luna, the guinea pigs, and they are settling in well. Willow is the confident active one and Luna a little more shy. They have both let us give them a little stroke and seem to adore curly kale and chicory, which has helped with getting them used to us. They have both been popcorning and making happy noises and Willow loves to zoom around the cage every so often."

Meet Oreo! 🐱🥰
He is a 10 year old Domestic Shorthair looking for his new home.
Oreo needs to be an indoor cat in his new home due to a medical condition, so he will require a lot of space and enrichment to allow him to satisfy and express his natural cat instincts and behaviours!
There is lots of information on our Blue Cross website on how to help a cat adapt to an indoor lifestyle.
He will need to be the only pet in his new home too. Oreo would love to have people around a lot during the day, as you can see in the video, he loves fuss and attention, especially chin rubs and snoozing away next to people on the sofa.
