āļø Playing detective to work out whether theyāve actually eaten their dinnerā¦ or simply redecorated the walls with it.
āļø Running almost entirely on coffee, determination, and very little sleep. Itās exhausting!
The reality is that every one of these orphaned hoglets simply wouldnāt have survived without being rescued.
Yes, weāre over capacity. Yes, most of my days are spent feeding, cleaning, weighing, medicating, and repeating the whole process again. And yesā¦ Iām completely exhausted.
But Iām also incredibly privileged to be able to give these tiny lives a second chance.
On the longest days, I remind myself of all the little prickles that have grown strong enough to return to the wild. Every messy cage, every sleepless night, and every p**p explosion is a small step towards that moment.
And that makes every single one worth it š¤š¦
