- Did You Know? - Would you know how to safely pick up a sick or injured hedgehog?

Thank you Worcester News for highlighting our endangered precious prickles 🤎🦔

I’ll pick my battles and tackle the devastating Planning and Infrastructure Bill for another day 🤦🏻‍♀️

A great initiative 🦔

- Lucy’s Graduation - Look at the transformation, doesn’t she look fabulous 🥹

Sweet Lucy is back in the woods where she came from, with a whole team looking out for her. After healing from her leg wound and dehydration, Lucy unfortunately had a difficult birth.

Now she’s in full health and back in the wild to thrive - this is what it’s all about.

Good luck sweet girl, we hope you had a fabulous first night back in the woods 🤎🦔

A big thank you to Viv and all the team at Warley Woods for helping Lucy and for all of the support they’ve given us at here at the rescue 🤎

- 🌈 New Intake 🌈 - Lovingly named Cherry by a little girl.

She was found yesterday out on a lawn, with no sign of Mum, cold and with fly strike.

Despite working throughout the night with her, unfortunately, she was just too precious for this world. Sometimes it’s just too late, she was already shutting down when she arrived.

It’s something I’ll always struggle to come to terms with, not being able to save them all. But I can promise I will always give it my all and try my absolute hardest for them.

Although I know it was done with the best of intentions, please don’t try to feed hoglets milk. All hedgehogs are lactose intolerant.

Sleep tight precious, you were loved 🌈🤎🦔

- Thank You - Oh my have the the hoglets and servants been spoilt this week 🥹

The Toddlers are eating us out of shed and home so Terri kindly donated lots of kitten food and even some enrichment toys for chomping. Just like any young animal or human, they explore with their mouths when teething.

The servants also got spoilt with a beautiful hamper, how lucky are we?

I cannot express to exerting that follows us, my gratitude for the kindness you all show to not only the hogs but ourselves - we couldn’t do it without you! Thank you 🤎🦔

- New Intake - Mum and 6 wee beans 🥹

Mum had nested under a play house that had to be moved. Unfortunately this wasn’t the safest place to continue raising her hoglets. This is one amazing Momma hog, through all the hot weather we’ve had, she’s done an incredible job with her 6 babies.

Now she has the comfort of a large hutch, complete with cool pack and all inclusive buffet to continue doing a fantastic job of raising them 🤎🦔

- New Intake - Meet Poppy and Rose from Bewdley. These 2 sisters were brought in last week after being found in a hay bale without Mum.

At 129g and 142g they are too young to be without her. Both girls have gained over 60g this week. Way to go precious beans - welcome to Henbrook nursery 🤎🦔

- Diageo and Peaches - Meet 2 poorly wee beans that were brought in last week from Blaise Veterinary Referral Center. They are around 4 weeks old.

They was handed in over night so we don’t have much information on their rescue. They were severely dehydrated, malnourished and underweight for their age, both also had fleas and ticks.

After an intensive weekend in the incubator with fluids, antibiotics and a gentle wormer, today they’ve started eating on their own. We’re not quiet out of the woods yet, but we’re making progress 🥹
