Friday is looking to hit a high of 25 degrees.

Walks will be cancelled accordingly, if the weather continues in that direction, and swapped to comfort breaks only/walks early to avoid the heat where possible.

Any temperatures over 20 degrees are monitored closely on an individual basis to ensure safety of all the dogs in my care.

A bit slow on posting this, apologies. I’m taking a holiday in June from the 7th and back on the 16th.

There is far too much information, studies and help out there that is accessible (even in its simplest form as a website) for people to still be using abusive methods to “train” their dogs.

I will always do my best to advocate for the dogs, unfortunately a lot of the time I have to consider personal safety first and it breaks my heart.

I’m justifiably angry when I see people using a lead to hit their dogs, usually across the face and/or people shouting angrily at their dogs to make them cower in fear.

If you can’t control your temper or think your dog is “embarrassing you” - you simply shouldn’t have one.

Blanket and Towel appeal - Lanarkshire centre

Do you have any spare blankets or towels you’d like to donate to us? Our Lanarkshire centre is running low and would appreciate if you could drop off anything you’re able to give to our animals 💜

We can take clean or new blankets and towels in good condition with no holes.

We’re unable to accept pillows or duvets as the stuffing can be potentially harmful for animals if they ingest it 🐾

Some other items you can also donate:

- Food and treats as long as they haven’t been opened.
- Clean/not damaged cat and dog beds.

*Unfortunately we can’t take raw food.

As it's Easter weekend I thought it would be helpful to share this chocolate calculater from Vets Now.

As always the advice is keep choclate away from dogs and don't allow them to eat it, but sometimes they can sneak it when you look away for 2 seconds. If you are worried or concerned at all you should always seek medical advice from your registered vet or out of hours vets if your registered one is closed.

Dog chocolate toxicity poisoning can be fatal. Use our dog chocolate calculator to find out whether your dog has eaten a dangerous amount.
