Another successful few days at the Royal Highland Show with the best ponies ✨️

Ziggy added another red one to his collection, this time in the 2 y/o part bred welsh after winning the yearlings last year 🥇Can't believe how much he has matured and come into himself since then, very excited for his future 🤩

Poppy had an educational spin in the Intermediate SHP to pick up a respectable 6th, then put her game face on in the 153 SHP to take 5th in line-ups of established quality ponies 🙌🏼 Absolutely over the moon with her as it was a big ask of a novice pony at only her 3rd show, but she took it all in her stride with a smile on her face, recieving the most wonderful comments from the judges 🥰 Exciting things to come for her!

Misty made his return to the qualifiers to take a credible 8th in the 133 SHP 🏅 Ridden beautifully by Prestyn who had only sat on him the night before and the judges were so complimentary of them both, recieving the highest ride mark ☺️ So proud of them and can't wait to watch their partnership grow!

Dochie went foot perfect in a massive class of quality Highlands to take 7th 🏅Absolutely thrilled with him as he was in front of my leg the whole way round the ring, pulling off a flawless show with a fantastic gallop 💨

I can't put into words how pleased I am with all 4 of them in their own different ways 🥰 I have the best little team of ponies!

A huge, huge thank you to everyone who made the past few days possible! Mum for being designated driver and chief groom, the ponies all looked amazing as always! Rhianna for being the biggest help on Saturday, we couldn't have done it without you! Ashley for resolving my homeless at the highland issue and to everyone who came to watch and support us, you're all hugely appreciated 💞

A weekend of ups & downs and early starts 🌅

It was a successful day on Sunday with Dochie at the Scottish Friends Open Show. He was expertly ridden by Harriet in the junior large breeds to win and take the championship, picking up his Scone ticket 🎟 thank you for riding him so beautifully 🥰.
He then picked up his final Scone ticket in the open large breeds with me after taking 2nd, in true Dochie fashion, his lack of gallop cost us the win 🤦🏼‍♀️ 😂

It was Mia's turn on Monday at the Puddledub Spring Show. After being so good at her first show a couple of weeks ago, her halo definitely slipped this week! She did a nice show (minus a slight moment to herself) and go round, but showed off her best dance moves - including a very impressive moon walk - while in the lineup, to quite rightfully be last. Fingers crossed she puts her halo back in place for the next one 🤞🏼

A definite highlight was watching little Olly and Ianna do their thing with lots of success and tickets 🎟, the cutest little duo 🥹🥰

As always a big thank you to Fiona & Eleanor for putting on well ran, friendly shows and Carol for the beautiful sash 😍 and a huge thank you to mum (Jennifer) for the early starts and many miles driven ❤️

Easter Sunday well spent at NPS Scotland spring show ✨️

Mia's first show and she didn't disappoint, she was on her best behaviour to stand 2nd in the novice c's & d's, picking up her ticket for Scone 🎫

It was Ziggy's first show since the Highland last year and he continued his success to win the inhand 2 & 3 y/o show pony, then stood reserve champion, also picking up his ticket for Scone 🏆

Rebecca took over the reins and expertly rode Dochie to take 4th in the junior large breeds, he then went on to be 4th with me in a huge open h/f/d. Very shocked but pleased there were no stains in sight this morning, a win is a win 💁🏼‍♀️😂

Huge thank you to mum (Jennifer) for driving back and forth picking up each pony individually, very handy only living 10 mins away from snec!

Another successful couple of shows to start the season with princess Poppy 👑✨️

She made her first show a winning one, coming home with x2 1sts and a 2nd, behaving impeccably and creating lots of excitement for what's to come. Thank you Fiona Reed for putting on these shows, it's exactly what we both needed!

She continued her streak today, taking the win in the novice intermediate and reserve champion and 2nd in the young show hunter pony 🏆, receiving some really lovely comments from the judge 🥰.

There's definitely still a lot to work on, and lots of muscle and weight to build but super excited for what's to come with her ☺️

We had our first run in our new lorry today courtesy of Stirling Trailer Centre- More than just trailers., thank you for the upgrade! And I finally got a change to wear my new Couronne Equestrian show breeches, I'm in love 😍

As always a big thank you to mum Jennifer Green for being top groom/driver and thank you to Puddledub Shows and BSPS Scottish Branch for two well ran shows and a great start to the season. Leaving at 1pm was a definite bonus!!

A successful start to the season with the boys ✨️

A later start allowed me to get all yard jobs done and ride Poppy before we left, so glad as we didn't get home until 9pm!

Misty was on top form winning both classes and taking the championship, the Easter eggs were definitely a bonus (one may have been eaten on the way home 🫣).

Dochie followed by taking 2nd after a doing a show that was made up as we were going along and participated in his first ever veteran class for 3rd. His biggest success however was keeping himself clean overnight 🙌🏼

Big thank you to mum for driving and plaiting and Gran for coming along and being the biggest help, especially in the freezing cold, I'd have been lost without you both! 🥰

Another rather chilly morning of dressage with the boys 🥶

Misty enjoyed showing everyone his best Tigger impression again 😂 but thankfully managed to contain himself in the ring, producing a decent test for 4th. Despite being generally tense, he had a few moments of really nice work and luckily his marks reflected this, a definite improvement from last time! ☺️

Dochie pulled it out the bag again winning both his classes with well over 70% despite struggling with the surface and a sat nav error. He recieved consistently good marks and a few really lovely comments 🥰. Perhaps a career change is on the cards for 2025 🤷🏼‍♀️

Thank you to Jennifer for being top groom and driver and Gran and Dad for coming along, and you all for braving the cold!

A chilly day out with the boys to start a winter of dressage 🥶.

Misty kept us all entertained with his extravagant moves and constant chatter 😂. Giving two good tests for 2nd and 3rd and the recurring comment "needs to relax more" however also recieved some really lovely comments 🥰.

Dochie was the star of the day though, winning both his classes with 70% in the first and just shy of 70% in the second despite being a little tired, recieving some really good marks and lovely comments, quite a few about his tail 😆.

A huge thank you to the small army that made today possible! Dad for getting us there, Katie for being top groom and test reader, and everyone else who has kept me right on all things dressage. You're all greatly appreciated ☺️

Good day at The Scottish Shetland Pony Championship Show last weekend although no Shetlands on board.

Both Dochie and Olly didn't put a foot wrong all day, Olly was on his best behaviour and came home with respectable placings in his classes (all thanks to bear for warming him up 😂). It was so nice to have Dochie back out after his incident at Blair which thankfully we have now got to the bottom of. He gave me a nice ride to finish 6th in a good class but a major sack the jockey moment cost us, can't say I'll make that mistake again! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Another big thanks to Gran for coming and being chief pony holder and bear sitter, I think she only comes to mess around with bear 🐻 and as always Jennifer for everything ❤️.

A rather eventful few days at Defender Blair Castle International Horse Trials 2024.

We were off to a good start on Wednesday, lorry packed and ready to go, just Dochie to load, we were even running ahead of schedule... then the lorry wouldn't start 🙈. Thankfully Mcphie Recovery Garage came to the rescue and we set off only a little bit late. We got a good run up and set up camp for the next few days, to be told 10 minutes after the tent and gazebo were up that they were prohibited. Mum & Dad got it sorted (there may have been a few heated conversations 😂) and they stayed up, well until Thursday morning when the gazebo was barely still attached to the lorry.

We enjoyed a chilled morning wandering and watching workers on Thursday as Dochie wasn't on until mid-day. So chilled we almost missed our class! After a major team effort to get him ready we managed to just make the class, poor Dochie's warm up was trotting from his stable to the lorry, I could hardly breathe after legging it all that way 😮‍💨😂.
So glad we made it as he was on top form, super forwards, to the point we had to overtake, and at speed! He was pulled 5th in the Hoys and stayed there after a lovely show in a quality lineup. Really pleased with how he went and how much go he had, especially given the ground (Dochie doesn't like to get his feet dirty, only his body 🤣).
As always I had a great night with Honor, Shona and crew, thank you for having me 🥰.

Friday started of chilled, watching classes and drinking margaritas, I think I'm going to miss these and the wraps the most 🐷🙈. We decided to give the class a miss after taking Dochie's onesie off to find he'd broken the skin where his saddle sits. We decided to stay and watch the last of the classes then head home.

Thank you to everyone who made the past few days so enjoyable, especially Natalie and Shiona for coming down to see our special boy 🥰💕 and thank you very much for my new Couronne Equestrian show breeches, I can't wait to wear them in the ring!
A big thank you to Mum & Dad, Becca, Chloe & Zoe for all your help, especially the mad rush on Thursday, and Dad for driving all the way there and back, having not driven the lorry since HOYS last year. We didn't even need pulled out!
Not forgetting Gran, Ava, Marnie and Costas who held the fort at home allowing us to go.

Sad that it's the last Blair but thankful for all the wonderful memories we have as a family there and already looking forward to making new ones at Scone in the future.

Just about recovered after a long but successful day out at Puddledub Shows summer show yesterday. It was nice to see the sun again too, even if we did all end up burnt ☀️

Misty started the day off well, having not been out since the Caledonian last year, we were just hoping he would keep it together and not show us up 😅. He had a couple of 'Misty moments' in the go round but redeemed himself by doing a nice show for 2nd in the open SHP, then kept it together to take the championship with some lovely comments from the judge also taking away a trophy, plaque and plenty rosettes. Super pleased as he can be a dafty at times but he was definitely much more chilled than we were expecting and as always I'm so grateful to be able to ride him at these shows as there's very few I still can 🥰

Dochie came along for a Blair pre-run and didn't disappoint. He did a foot perfect show to be 2nd to a beautiful shire in the rare breeds. Then we almost missed the open M&M's but a lovely lady ran to check if we'd be allowed in and after being let in late he did a good show for 3rd. Really happy as he felt fantastic, off the leg and willing to go forward, so much so I think had I asked him to gallop he would have however the ground was rock hard. Looking forward to taking him away for a few days next week for the last ever Blair ☺️.

We stayed to give Misty a spin in the supreme so we didn't get home until 10pm 😴. A super long day for us all but Gran kept herself entertained by taking pictures of my bear up to no good 😂.
We had such a lovely day chatting to old friends and making new ones and a huge thank you to everyone who let me borrow their gloves since mine disappeared , it's hugely appreciated!
It was so lovely to have Gran with us as she's not been to shows in quite a while and she used to come to them all with us and she even got her brave pants on and held Misty while mum plaited him 🙀.
As always thank you to Fiona for organising these shows, it's always a good day out and for all the little touches 🏆.
