Today we had this handsome boy in called Hugo for his first visit to the practice.

He is a rather unusual breed and we were wondering if anyone would be able to name his breed? 🧐

Today is celebrating pets in films.
Do you think any of your pets could be a movie or tv show star ⭐ if so what genre do you think they would be in? Would they be a hero or the villain 🙈
I think Luen who you have seen on our page would make a great stunt actress with all her tricks and energy🤸

June is national microchipping month 🎉

Microchipping is always a current issue but it has recently became law in England that cats need to have a microchip before 20 weeks old. It wouldn't be a surprise if the same law happened in Scotland as well. Puppies should be microchipped before 8 weeks old and before they've left the breeder but sometimes that doesn't happen. If you have doubt about whether your pet is microchipped please contact the practice.

An issue that is most common with microchips is that the details are out of date, phone numbers are no longer in use or address have changed. If you think that your microchip details are incorrect don't hesitate to contact the practice for help. We cannot change them for you but we can look up what database they are linked to, check registered details and give you contact information to make any needed changes.

🦴 Arthritis awareness month 🦴
Here we have Ruben he is 14years young! His owners had noticed stiffness in his back end nearly two years at his annual booster appointment which when further examined diagnosed as arthritis in his hips and knee. He has been on anti-inflammatory medication since then to help him feel more comfortable as he continues to get older. Medication has helped Ruben be comfortable and pain free for a long time however a few months ago at his 6 monthly health check it was discussed that the medication wasn’t just cutting it as he was getting sore and stiff again. We started Laser Therapy treatment which we offer here at the practice for his sore areas which continues to help him with his stiffness.
