The winners of the 2023/2024 British Dog Field of the Year have been announced!

We may not have won the national award however are delighted to have been voted best in Edinburgh and the Lothians!

Knew it would be popular but this is unreal 😳

Finally managed to find a manufacturer of ‘Liver Cake’ & they are based in N Ireland ☘️ - what’s not to love!!

The freezer is fully stocked but be quick if you would like to try as it’s sure to go quick.

That’s the field inspections complete for another day but unfortunately yet again The Agility Field in Broxburn has let the side down, with the amount of 💩 being left into double figures!!!

This is simply not acceptable & we would ask that clients treat the facility with the respect that it deserves.

Can we also please ask clients who insist on brushing their dogs in The Agility Field to please put the hair into one of the bins rather than leave for someone else to pick up.

OPENING & WINNER OF TRIAL SESSION.

The grass has been freshly cut ( we are trialling a longer piece in the middle for lots of sniffing for the pups) the water butt filled, poo bag dispenser in place and poo bins positioned.

We are good to go and the facility to book will be switched on first thing tomorrow morning, with the first booking being Monday 1st July.

Well - here we go Phase 2 - ‘The Meadow’ - the fantastic addition of a massive ‘3 acre secure dog park’, is underway at The PAW Park site in Broxburn.

Watch this space for further updates - scheduled to open 1st July.

Important Update for all our regular clients.

The ‘Broxburn’ PAW park will be closed from;

Wednesday 12th June 9am -
5pm and again on Thursday 13th and Friday 14th June 9am - 5pm

As we continue, with work, to upgrade the facility.

This part of the work will involve the extension and improvement of the access road which will help us facilitate Phase 2, due for launch by the end of June.

The sun ☀️is shining, the grass has been cut & we have pleasure in advising that our Ecclesmachan facility will be open for bookings from this Saturday 27th April. 🎉🎉.

A Massive thanks to everyone for their patience!!

Don’t you just love the peaceful vibe & relaxing views that this field has to offer in the fairer weather.

We also have some further, very exciting news coming in the next few weeks - so watch this space.

Thanks for bearing with us, as we continue to make enhancements to the Broxburn Facility.

Craig - Oddjobs 9 to 5, is busy working away in the field today & I’m sure you will all agree he’s done a great job of the shelter, play equipment, tyres and holding area to date.

After today we should have some hurdles for the bigger dogs, boundaries for the activity area and picnic table ( these will be filled with some kind of material to hopefully help with the mud) & the start of a sandpit ( sand to follow).

We continue to invest monthly to ensure that we provide all our clients, human & dogs with the most enriching experience possible & therefore any feedback that you may have, please do let us know.

P.S - we currently have our thinking caps on around a sniffy/sensory area.

We appreciate all of your continued support especially given the amount of rain we have had recently & look forward to you all throughly enjoying the facility when the better weather comes. ☀️

We would like to thank everyone for the valuable feedback they have provided to us regarding our facility these last few months.

We’ve Listened 😍 and work commences tomorrow on a secure holding area, that you can drive into with your car/van before accessing the field in Broxburn.

This work will take place outwith the boundary of the secure field and there should therefore be minimum disruption to any bookings - thanks in advance for your understanding.

Keep your eyes peeled for our next enhancement in March.

N.B - Our Ecclesmachan Field continues to remain closed for bookings due to the wet weather - this is being reviewed weekly.

To celebrate our first Christmas in the salon, we will be donating one of our MiniVIPups Christmas Eve Boxes to the Charity - Any Dog’il Do Rescue 🐾 - who intend to raffle to raise much needed funds.

We will also be gratefully accepting donations of any unopened dog food for the charity - this will be used to feed the dogs that will unfortunately spend this Christmas in kennels.

⚠️Temporary Closure of Ecclesmachan field ⚠️

Unfortunately, given the current wet weather conditions and the state of the Ecclesmachan field - we have taken the decision to close the field for a period of 2 weeks to allow the ground to rest & hopefully dry out.

All current bookings will be honoured or can be transfered to our Broxburn field ( please do get in touch if this would be your preference).

Good Morning,

It is fair to say that this mornings inspection of the Ecclesmachan field has not gone well!!!

No only was there litter ( McDonalds wrappers amongst other things) found in the field but there was also dog poo on the actual seat of one of the chairs 😳 - never mind the 8 rogue poo’s that had also been left.

We have also been made aware of people trying to access the field and on ocassion being successful, without a booking.

This type of behaviour is not only disrespectful to the farmer and the field owners but also to our valued clients and their pups!!!

We continue to invest on a monthly basis, in order to try and provide you all with the highest quality of facility.

Can we please ask that all clients treat our facility with the respect it deserves and when leaving ensure it is, as you would wish, to find it.

Can we please request that owners do their best to prevent dogs digging holes in the fields, not only does this create a mess but also a hazard for both our clients and their pups.

It is also not acceptable to leave rubbish in the fields or throw it into the farmers fields.

Both of these things are becoming an issue along with the daily battle of the poo pick up.

We strive to provide the best of facilities for our clients and appreciate your support with this.
