Thank you for your interest. We are having a few good questions regarding turnout during the winter.

We like to turnout into our fields all year wherever possible, so they can graze and get some good exercise in their natural environment. Last year we perhaps had a couple of days this was not possible due to the weather, but then we resort to hardstanding for those couple of days where horses need to stretch their legs.

It surprises us when people turn up where there horse hasn't seen grass for six months and their hay/haylage bill has gone through the roof!
