Did you know that today is 'Random Acts of Kindness Day?

We understand that times are tough for most of us right now, which is why your kind donations mean more to us than ever before.

• just £5 could feed a cat in our care for 25 days
• £10 could cover the cost of microchipping for four cats
• £15 could buy five cardboard cat scratchers
• £20 could cover the cost of 12 soft blankets to keep cats warm, cosy and feeling safe in their beds in care

Your donation (no matter how small) really can help us to continue sharing your kindness with the cats in our care. If you would like to make a donation, then simply click on the link below.

Thank you! ❤️🐾

❤Our Valentine’s Day cat is the beautiful Bounty ❤

Bounty is a super loving 1-year-old tabby and white cat. He was admitted into our care with severe skin disease which had caused fur loss and widespread painful sores. Bounty had worn a collar/jumper for most of his life to prevent him from causing more trauma to himself. Despite the constant discomfort Bounty was in, he was just adorable and loved having fuss and attention, everyone who met him fell in love with him 🥰
It took a couple of months of vet care and TLC for Bounty to recover and his fur to start growing back and looking shiny and sleek again. We are happy to say that Bounty had his happy ending and was recently adopted 🏡😻

On this Valentine’s Day we would love to see photos of cats enjoying their happy ever after, please share your photos in the comments 🐈

Happy Valentine's Day 😻

❤️ MEET THE BEAUTIFUL CANDY. PLEASE SHARE TO HELP US FIND HER FOREVER HOME ❤️

We would love to show you all one of our longest staying cats - The beautiful Candy. She is a 6 year old female who has sadly been with us since the 15/08/24 and we are desperate for her to find her forever home.

Candy needs an experienced owner in an adult only home, with no children or other pets where she can put her paws up and relax. A home where she has a nice garden to explore and play in would be great, equally a farm or small holding would be ideal as long as there was someone on site, so she can still enjoy her home comforts and have human interaction.

Candy is a very sweet girl, but also independent. She needs an experienced owner who can let her settle in her own time. Once she has built up a bond with you, she can be very affectionate but she can get over stimulated and excited. For this reason, a behaviour plan has been put in place to help support her new owner in getting her settled.

We are open every day, except Tuesdays, for viewings between 11am - 2.40pm. No appointment needed, just let us know that you would like to meet Candy and we'll be thrilled to introduce you to her ☺️❤️

⭐ Cat if the Week 😻
Our cat of the week is the handsome Harvey, who is an adult male, white and tabby, domestic short hair. He is a shy and quiet boy but is very loving and adores cuddles once he gets to know you. Harvey likes catnip toys and going outside occasionally but prefers the indoors.
Harvey has recently been adopted 🏡🥰 and we wish him and his adopters all the best as they start their journey together.
If you would like to give a home to a cat like Harvey and help them find a new start in life, please visit https://www.cats.org.uk/bridgend
Our cats are waiting to meet you 😺

Today (30 January) three cats were brought to the centre outside of opening hours. We want to reassure the previous owner that we completely understand how difficult this must have been, and want them to know that the cats are safe in our care, settling in comfortably.

If possible, we’d love to learn more about the cats to help give them the best possible care. If the previous owner feels able to get in touch, we’d be happy to chat – please email us at [email protected] or call 01656 724396.

⭐This week's Cat of the Week is the handsome Reggie ⭐
Reggie is a 7-year-old ginger and white, domestic long hair male. He is a super friendly boy and gets on well with other cats but is more suited to a home with older children or an adult only home. Reggie is a vocal boy and loves walking around chirping and singing. He loves to go outdoors but also likes to sit on your lap or on a hot, cosy radiator. Reggie is available for adoption so if you are interested in giving him, or any of the other cats in Wales Cat Centre, a home please visit our website at www.cats.org.uk/bridgend"

⭐ Happy ending update 🏡
Some of you may remember the lovely Trixie, the cat who had to have her eyes removed due to a painful eye condition.
We had these lovely photos and update about Trixie 😻
"she is doing really well, she loves to sit out the back and listen for the birds, and she adores when the sun is shining in the summer as she bathes for a while on the seating area out the garden. She also loves crumpled up paper to play with and her tail on a stick toy, she is like a little gymnast when she plays with that. And when it comes to bed time, she’s sometimes on the bed before I’ve got in it, and she loves to snuggle on my side and she stays there for quite a while like a purring machine. She is an absolute gem."
I think you all agree that Trixie has found her perfect forever after 🥰

🌳Rural homes urgently needed 🌳
We are searching for rural homes such as a home with lots of outdoor space, farm, stable yards or small holding ideally with people living on site for two of our cats who require this type of set up 🐈‍

Candy is a 6-year-old neutered female, she has been in our care for 5 months and is finding it difficult in the centre environment. She spent some time with one of our fosterers who said that she is an intelligent cat, who loves spending time with her. Candy can get frustrated at times so needs somewhere she can be out to roam and enjoy the big outdoors. Candy prefers to be the only cat she will make a great mouser!
Barty is a 1-year-old neutered male, he is very frustrated in the centre environment and desperately needs to be in a home with lots of outdoor space to explore. He will need sun cream applied to his nose and ears during hot sunny weather. He is a lovely boy who will make a great mouser!

If you have a rural home that could help one of our cats, please contact us at [email protected] or call us on 01656 724396.
Please share this post to help us find Candy and Bart their perfect home, thank you
