Update on using Thornborough Paws in relation to the recent Dangerous Dogs legislation.

We will continue to welcome all breeds of dogs to our field. To comply with our insurance, we have made the following changes to our Terms & Conditions which can be found when you book via our website.

‘If your Dog is registered under the Dangerous Dogs Act you must comply with all current legislation in relation to owning a dangerous dog’

In brief, for owners of XL Bullies this means

• If the household has more than 1 dog, they can come to the field together as long as they have a minimum of 1 handler.
• All dogs leads and muzzles can be removed once in the field including the XL Bully.
• If there are dogs from different households, the banned breed will need to remain muzzled and on a lead at all times with a 1:1 handler.

Good morning on a stunning, if chilly Friday morning.

I've been looking at Thornborough Paws Terms & Conditions in relation to the debate & discussion round XL Bullies. There is so much uncertainly at the moment & the advise we've been given is to wait until the government makes a decision and we must then (to comply with our insurance obligations) stick to this. I will not second guess the decision but will confirm as soon as we know more.

Can I also ask that any smokers or chewing gum users are very careful not to drop either, anywhere within the Dog Walking Field. Both cigarette butts & chewing gum have the potential to cause serious illness or even death so please take this rubbish away with you & dispose of it at home. Thank you.

Happy Birthday Bertha!

Twelve years ago numerous friends & family were sitting in our downstairs toilet, eating takeaway curry & celebrating the birth of 5 gorgeous Schussel (JR x Schnauzer) puppies!

Bertha was always the one who was going to be staying & has been my faithful shadow ever since. Vince has even forgiven her for eating a duckling - although that was never proved and Baloo was also involved!

Happy Birthday Bertha.

We are delighted to announce that Thornborough Paws is supporting the Buckingham Dog Show which takes place on Sunday 10th September from 11.00 - 15.00 at Bourton Park Meadow.
