After having awful lyphangitis from what must have been some sort of bite or sting I am so pleased that 24 year old Dream has responded remarkably well to antibiotics and is back out in the field. Thank goodness, it was touch and go.

I am an experienced veterinary surgeon working with all horses but predominantly love to focus my attention on sport horses and thoroughly enjoy accurate diagnosis, performance evaluation and treatment. No problem is too small. I love nothing more than to watch my patients achieve success.

I have 5 of my own horses, I regularly compete and last year successfully bred my own foal.

All my equipment is fully mobile and assessments can take place on your own premesis.

Meet Una aka Connie.

Last weekend I got a call from a very good friend who is a vet, she had been called to a ‘non’ client on Saturday for a horse that was colicing badly after a week of treatment and had now collapsed.

In very unfortunate circumstances Una had only been owned for a week and left the owners with no insurance and no further funds to continue.
Requiring a lot of intense fluid therapy and other treatments, Sadly for the owners it was not affordable to continue and she was going to be euthanased.

Devastated, knowing we could save her, a young horse with her whole life ahead of her, my friend rang me and asked if I knew anyone that could have her……
How could I say no.
So I’m pleased to say I’ve saved her. It’s been a tough week but we’re finally getting there ❤️❤️ ❤️
Lots of tlc and hopefully gain some of the weight she lost from the grass 🤞🤞❤️‍🩹❤️‍🩹.

Sophie said: "I always wanted to be a vet – as a child, I loved animals and made a pretend vet practice in the spare room with my teddies. I have a keen interest in sports horses as I have a passion for showjumping (I still compete regularly), so moved to Essex to work for an FEI showjumping vet. I set up my own practice in early 2019 and have been very fortunate that I have fantastic clients and have been able to make my dream come true.”
