IMPORTANT FOR CURRENT CLIENTS!!
Finally the hot weather is approaching🤩 Here’s how Walkies with Laur are planning to deal with the hotter weather to keep your pets safe.
☀️ If the temperature is above 23 degrees we will NOT be walking any dogs.
☀️ The temperature normally peaks this high during early afternoon, However we will be monitoring the weather closely throughout the day!
☀️ If it does get too hot for the walks to take place ( above 23 degrees ) we will be offering three options for your dog.
1. We will walk your dog earlier in the day, before it gets too hot.
2. We will offer a shorter walk before it gets too hot and also a pop in later during the day for a toilet break.
3. We will come and spend the allocated time at your home and play in the garden, toilet break and also some enrichment games.
☀️ If we have started a walk and we notice that your dog is struggling due to the heat, we will be reducing the walk and go back home and play some games in the garden.
☀️ Most of the walks that we mainly go to are fairly shaded and has water spots, these walks will be where we’ll go to make sure your dog is safe.
☀️ We will not be walking on many if any pavements so we can keep your dogs paws safe and not sore!
☀️ We will be carrying an extra bottle of water during our walks and we will also be encouraging your dogs to do a slower walk to enable them to stay as cool as possible.
☀️ When travelling in the van, the windows will be open, the air-con will be on and they’ll also have their own fan in the back to make sure they’re kept cool and comfortable during their travel.
☀️ We will be trying our best to keep your allocated times the same, however we may be early or later depending on the weather. Some days will get hotter quicker so we may be early to your pet.
Please let me know if you’re happy with the options i’ve provided or if you’re not happy with them please let me know how you’d prefer us to accommodate your pet during the heat!
Thank-you, Walkies with Laur.
