Today (19th November 2024) marks The National Lottery’s 30th birthday and since its beginning it has awarded over £18 billion to over 290,000 charities and community groups. We at Cilmery Village Hall are grateful to the Community Fund for the support to help us keep and hall warm and in good repair.

The National Lottery Community Fund gives grants to organisations in the UK to help improve their communities. The money awarded comes from the UK National Lottery.

We're supporting communities to come together by funding amazing projects like the refurbishment of Cilmery Community Hall 🙌

The group will use funding to complete vital maintenance work, ensuring that the hall remains safe, comfortable and available for everyone in the community to enjoy.

The community hall is a hub for local activities, hosting everything from photography clubs, dog training to Zumba classes, council meetings, and other community events.

Les Coveney, a Trustee of Cilmery Community Hall said: “It has been 25 years since the hall underwent a major refurbishment. This grant from The National Lottery Community Fund will enable us to carry out essential improvements, so that it can continue to be available for use by the community in Cilmery."

Mae'r neuadd gymunedol yn hwb ar gyfer gweithgareddau lleol, yn cynnal popeth o glybiau ffotograffiaeth, hyfforddiant cŵn i ddosbarthiadau Zumba, cyfarfodydd y cyngor a digwyddiadau cymunedol eraill.

Dywedodd Les Coveney, Ymddiriedolwr Neuadd Gymunedol Cilmeri: "Mae 25 o flynyddoedd wedi bod ers adnewyddiad mawr diwethaf y neuadd. Bydd y grant hwn gan Gronfa Gymunedol y Loteri Genedlaethol yn ein galluogi i wneud gwelliannau hanfodol i'r neuadd, fel y gall cymuned Cilmeri barhau i'w defnyddio."
