First clip you’ll see here shows us working positively with Luna around the car, but she isn’t confident enough yet to climb in. However the second clip, taken by her owners shows the progress they’re now making - lovely Luna is ACING her training and starting to overcome her fear of the car, feeling more confident by the day 🥰

REASONS TO TEACH THE COMMAND ‘GO TO BED’ 🐶 This is one of my favourite commands to teach! So many uses and the individual actions that make up this sequence can also be used in so many helpful scenarios 👌 It’s definitely a winner in my books!Over the years I have seen many versions of this exercise across many training disciplines - from being used as a ‘send away’ in obedience training, to being taught in conjunction with a place board in gun dog training for directional work and the teaching of an emergency stop, and of course to being used in the every day pet home when you need your dog to settle. WHY PLAY IS SO IMPORTANT FOR OUR DOGS 🐾 Play and constructive exercise forms a part of many of my consultations as a trainer and behaviourist and here are my top reasons why!🐶 Play can help your dog to express and fulfil natural behaviours such as their hunt, catch and retrieve instincts. 🐶 Using a toy to focus our dog’s attention can help our dogs to express these natural behaviours SAFELY and can help to avoid unwanted behaviour such as the chasing of other animals, people, bikes, scooters and so on. 🐶 Playing with our dogs can help avoid frustrations and pent up energy - energy they may then place into unwanted behaviours. 🐶 Play can help you keep your dog’s mind as well as their body healthy. Exercise can also help to reduce anxiety and anxiety related behaviours. 🐶 A love of a particular play toy can allow us to use this item as a positive reinforcer and help our dogs to build confidence in the world around them. 🐶 Play helps you and your dog to build a stronger bond!These are all the reasons why play is so important for Chester ❤️ What’s not to love? The key is to find a toy your dog loves, one that’s just right for their breed, physiology, and individual character.
