But beware of toxic plants for your cats and dogs! 🌸🐶 As flowers bloom and gardens grow, many common spring plants like tulips, daffodils, lilies & aloe vera- can be harmful if chewed or eaten.
Keep an eye on your furry friend and make sure your garden and home are pet-safe!

We can't believe it's been 10 years since our story reuniting Jasper the whippet with his owner went viral!

This is a timeless reminder which demonstrates the importance of microchipping your dog.

Jasper is a Whippet who was brought into our clinic having been found wandering nearby by a member of the public. Our team checked him over and scanned him for a microchip and it was discovered that he was registered to an address in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire and had been reported missing/stolen in September 2014 - 6 months prior to being found!! 😳

In the meantime Jasper had been sold to a woman who had looked after him for the last 3 months 😔

The moment that Jasper was reunited with his owner never fails to give us goosebumps. To this day we are delighted to have been part of this happy ending and urge all pet owners to microchip and ensure their details are up to date! 🙏

🌟 STAR PET: BERTIE! 🌟

Meet Bertie, our superstar patient this week! 🐶✨

After a routine walk, Bertie’s owners noticed something was wrong—he was excessively thirsty, vomiting, and hypersalivating. Concerned, they rushed him to the emergency vet, where he received pain relief but remained withdrawn, not wanting to eat or drink.

When Bertie returned to us on Monday, we took a closer look and discovered severe ulceration across his entire mouth and tongue—we can’t even imagine how painful that must have been! 😢💔 He was admitted for intensive care, allowing us to assess the extent of the damage and provide the treatment he needed.

We are still at a loss as to what caused his injury—perhaps something he picked up on his walk or something on his ball? 🤔🐾 It remains a mystery, but thankfully, Bertie is now on the mend!

Fast forward to yesterday, and what a transformation! 🎉 Bertie is much brighter, enjoying his meals (albeit puréed!), and showing just how incredible the body’s healing powers can be. 💪🐾

Bertie has been an absolute superstar, and we are so proud of his progress! 💙 Give him a big round of ap-paws in the comments! 🥰🐾

🚨NO SHOW APPOINTMENTS 🚨

Sadly we are seeing a large increase in no-show appointments. In the last month alone we had 25!😳

We fully appreciate that life can happen (🚙 🏥🚧 👨‍🍼) and some patients may no longer need their scheduled appointment🐕 but if you could please ring or email to let us know you need to cancel, it means another sick pet can get the opportunity to be seen promptly.

Our waiting times are already lengthy and we want to do our best to offer our loyal and dedicated pet owners the appointments they need as a priority🐾

Again, we understand that sometimes things happen and you just cannot make an appointment but please let us know 🙏

🐾 Week 3 of Puppy Class: Success! 🐶✨

The puppies are making incredible progress! From mastering basic commands to learning how to socialise with each other, they’re growing more confident every day 💪❤️
