Since Sam updates our dogs humans personally at the end of the day, we very rarely get round to uploading some pics on our page.
Sam is sorting through the pictures and going to upload them as she gets to them.
This is just some pictures from the last few weeks! ❤️

We want to wish ALL of our special clan of dogs, owners and family a very merry Christmas! We decided that rather than giving Xmas cards and wee Xmas treats to our already very much loved and cared for pups and hounds , to give a donation to The Fife dog rescue for those pups that don’t have a happy family home this Christmas ### still love you all xx

He is home. ❤️❤️This wee soul has been lost or stolen from Dalgety Bay today, please keep your eyes peeled for him.

Seen at a vets by a GD owner.

This is a homemade wrap that sits on the same pressure points as the thunder jackets. Perfect for dogs that hate this time of year.

Remember and remove if dog is not comfortable.

Please share.

So it is the bangy, scary, sky fizz popping time of the year again and so many of our pets are terrified of these strange, unexpected loud noises, so we have been giving out advice to our clients whose pets struggle at this time of year and thought it might help if we shared the information with others.

1. We always advise to build a safe place for your pet to take cover in; a pillow fort or a duvet teepee. Place their favourite blanket inside the den, their favourite toys and maybe some of their humans clothing for added comfort.

2. Snoods are a great way for added comfort and noise muffling. If you don’t have a snood an old jumper sleeve makes a great temporary snood. Don’t make it too tight though.

3. If you treat the anxiety with a herbal treatment, please start this a few days before the BIG night to get the full benefit.

4. Thunder jackets… these jackets touch the pressure points of the dog and gives them a sense of security and safety. If you don’t have one of these jackets, you can make your own with bandage or and old long sleeved top.

5. Music… Everyone says classical music is the best for dogs but recent studies have shown that Reggae or soft rock is actually more soothing for the animal.

6. Medication. Your vets understand at this time of year how distressing this can be for our animals and are always there with further advice and medication if needed.

7. Cuddles. Being close to your pet when it is feeling scared can also help to bring their stress levels down and gives them reassurance that they are safe.

8. Distractions. We use empty marrow bones filled with their favourite treat. (Our girls love frozen peanut butter* bones)

I really hope this advice can bring some comfort to struggling pets and their humans this year.

Stay safe. ❤️🐾🐾

*Please be aware. Only ever use 100% peanut butter in dog treats. No sugar, no sweetners, no palm oil etc. Please be aware that some brand of peanut butter contain the sweetener Xylitol, which is life threatening for dogs.

Just checking in with our favourite Clan of four legged friends and their humans. How is everyone doing?
Hope you all are well and keeping safe. We are missing all our walks, fun and muddy clothes! 😆

While this situation is still ongoing if there is anything that we can do for anyone who needs in this time please let us know.
You might be isolating and unable to get to the shops or maybe you don't have transport and need some essentials, then give us a shout. We can collect anything anyone needs when we are doing our own essentials shop.

Our girls all say Hello and cannot wait to get back out with their friends...and Peashoot has heard all about you all and can't wait to meet her new friends to be. ❤️❤️❤️🐾🐾🐾

Who are we and what do we do?

Welcome to our page. We are KY3 Canines and we are based in Burntisland, Fife.

We are a deliberately small company that offers a fully bespoke, specific pet centred service designed for all your pets individual needs, to ensure that they get the best and most out of their time with us.

KY3 Canines grew from starting our original business in Leiciester, called Stoneygate Walkies in 2010. Stoneygate walkies has now been running for over 8 1/2 years and was taken over by the wonderful Alison when we relocated home to Scotland in May 2014.

We offer a wide range of pet services such as, dog walking, boarding, house sitting, cat care calls and even care for the less conventional pets; like chickens, goats and reptiles.
