😭 🚨 📢 PLEASE READ 📢🚨😭

Hey everyone, Zain & Jess here with some sad news. 😔 We’re writing this with tears down our faces 😢

It breaks my heart to say that we’ll have to temporarily close down Furry Fields (stables way) due to our landlord giving us a one-month notice to terminate our contract. We don’t know why, apart from ‘it’s in the contract that she can’

😢 We’re just as shocked and devastated as you are. We started this journey as crazy dog lovers who simply wanted to create a safe space for ALL dogs breeds, shapes & sizes to run free. We poured our hearts and funds into doing our best to work with the facility we had and one of our big motivators was to accommodate a space for all of the lovely XL bully’s in the local area. Our happiness came from seeing all of your dogs enjoying themselves and we’re glad we could provide this even for a short period of time for now 😢💚

We never expected this sudden turn of events, we honestly had so many plans for the sunnier and warmer days, events, more improvements, the lot. We honestly were looking forward to doing so many things but have had our hearts well & truly BROKEN! 💔💔💔

We wanted to thank each and every one of you for your support and for trusting us with your pets. We promise you, this is not the end. We’re actively searching for a new piece of land and we’ll be back stronger than ever. As they say, “When one door closes, another one opens.” 🚪❤️

We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and we appreciate your understanding during this challenging time. Keep an eye out for updates, and we can’t wait to welcome you and your furry pals back to Furry Fields soon! Hopefully at a better location!

🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨 PLEASE READ 🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨

⚠️ We’re excited to let you know that the field will be open this weekend! However, due to the heavy rainfall, the car park is not safe for cars to drive on. The last thing we want is a car stuck in the mud, haha! But don’t worry, we’ve got a solution to ensure everyone’s safety and still have a great time with our furry friends!

🚫🚗 Customers will be able to park their cars outside the gate and then safely bring their dogs into the field on lead.
Alternatively, you can park at Bradshaws farm shop for 50 minutes, provided you pop in and enjoy a cuppa at Bradshaws as well. We hope you understand that we always prioritize your safety and the safety of your precious pups.

😔 We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but let’s keep our paws crossed for sunny days ahead and roll on summer! 🌞🐾

If you have any questions or need further clarification, please don’t hesitate to let us know. We’re here to help and ensure you and your furry friends have a fantastic time at Furry Fields! 😊🐶

💩💩💩 P**P ALERT 💩💩💩

😞😞. We’ve had some customers mention that there’s been a bit too much dog p**p left on the field. Whereby we check the field everyday, we simply ask that as per our T&Cs that owners pick up their dogs p**p & dispose of it in the bin provided. 🙂

🐾😬 We totally understand that accidents happen, but let’s make sure we’re all doing our part to keep Furry Fields clean and enjoyable for everyone! 🌟🐶

Remember, picking up after our furry friends and using the provided bins is super important. Together, we can make sure Furry Fields stays pawsitively pristine! 🌿🚮

🐶 ‼️. XL BULLY UPDATE . ‼️🐶

🚨 Our insurance details regarding XL Bully dogs 🐶 please read thoroughly 🚨

You will be able to hire our private fields for an XL Bully Dog on the following basis:

1. The dog is registered with the index of exempted dog (IED) and a copy of the life certificate is obtained and provided to us in the event of a claim.

2. A copy of the public liability insurance certificate for the dog is obtained and provided to us in the event of a claim.

3. The dog handler ratio is 1:1 with their handler at all times unless with other dogs from the same household

4. The dog is Neutered – in line with Government Rules

5. The dog is Micro Chipped

6.The dog is kept on a lead and muzzled until the gate is shut when entering the field

7. The dog is put back on a lead and muzzled before opening the gate to leave the field

8. You can remove the lead and muzzle once inside the secured field

9. If the household has more than 1 dog, they can come to the field together as long as they have a minimum of 1 handler. All dogs leads and muzzles can be removed once in the field including the XL Bully.

10. If there are dogs from different households, the banned breed will need to remain muzzled and on a lead at all time with a 1:1 handler

Our woofing CEO’s decided to check out the field this morning to run off their mince pies (dentastix) before the New Year 🙊

What a lovely muddy run out they had - check out the comments for more videos 😍🐾

Weather update: A lot of the field is absolutely fine (with only parts of the middle and by the car park as you come on to the field, being hit badly by the storm & is very wet/muddy)

Please be mindful of this when booking & bring your wellies/towels for the doggos! 🐾

‼️‼️ EXTREME WEATHER NOTICE ‼️‼️

Due to the recent storm/rainfall our field has been hit hard & is quite waterlogged 😟

We have had contact with other fellow dog field owners and they are in the same situation - one even letting their ducks swim on the field instead 🦆😂

The rainfall is set to continue overnight/tomorrow & we will monitor the situation daily. We understand most of the doggies will love the boggy-ness but their hoomans may not!! 🫣🐾

🐶 We have bookings in over the weekend & will make contact with those customers tomorrow with further details/options as we monitor the weather.

In the meantime if you have any questions/queries/have a booking over the next few days and would like to discuss this with us, please feel free to pop over a private message.

Don’t you just love winter dog walks?!?! 😂🐶🎅🏼

As you can see from these photos taken a few days ago, the horrible wet weather has managed to cause puddles everywhere…. Including Furry Fields! We wish we could vacuum the rain water & make it all disappear, but unfortunately we can’t!! 🙈

The rest of the field is absolutely fine and the two cuties on the following pic can assure you of this after their visit on Wednesday 😋

Here’s a little update… We have someone coming to assess the area early next week, with the potential of extending the car parking spaces to cover this. But for now your doggies may be a little wet & muddy after their visits! But what else are winter walks for other than mucky paws??? 👀😍

We’ll also be looking at adding an outdoor shelter facility VERY soon for those Hoomans who are allergic to the rain 😉😂

Our promise to you all, is to ensure that Furry Fields is always continuing to be better & I can assure you we’re working on it & won’t rest until we have the PAWfect field for our fluffballs (and Hoomans too) 🥰💚

Thank you so much to all of our customers for visiting and supporting our new venture at Furry Fields!

We decided to open a dog secure field because we want to give every dog a chance to stretch those legs, sniff freely & have the zoomies (as much as their little or big legs can handle). Whether it be dogs that need space alone, are nervous, reactive, to train recall or simply have a good run around with doggy pals! Our forefront is the dogs of course… But we know the field can be a huge piece of mind to owners knowing your dog can run freely and happily, whatever their quirks may be! 🐶

Our aim will never be for profit, our love for dogs takes over in every aspect of our lives (our 4 spoilt pooches can vouch for that)… Our aim is to make as many dogs as happy as possible (and I guess the owners’ too!!) We love seeing all the pictures and videos of your doggies having the best time ever running/sniffing around. 🥰

With this in mind and as a gentle reminder, all we ask is everyone who visits the field please adheres to the rules/polite requests below & T’s&C’s when booking.

Booking/prior to visits;
- Please add your phone number (access codes are sent via text)
- Please read email instructions & any instructions on text (including watching video prior to your visit)

During your visit;
- Please pick up your dogs p**p
- Please respect our equipment, both when accessing the field & whilst in there
- Please ensure the field is locked securely on departure
- Any issues on arrival/during your visit please contact us

We understand there may be times when customers have difficulty or may get confused, or there may be an issue with our system.. Everyone is human after all & we will always be here to help so contact us if there are any issues! We will always try to resolve as quickly as possible, but please be patient with us too.

🎆 FIREWORKS 🎇

Please have a read of this great advice 🐾

- Take dogs out for a walk or let out in the garden before dark, so they can toilet before fireworks begin. Let them out for their last toilet before bed once all fireworks have finished

- Keep cats indoors and lock the cat flap

- Shut doors, windows and curtains so large bright flashes and bangs are not as obvious

- Create a safe space for your dog for them to choose to bunker down in. A covered crate or a duvet over a table is ideal; deep bedding will dull any loud external sounds

- Provide distraction with a chewy toy, lick mat or Kong with treats or frozen with yoghurt or dog friendly peanut butter in. Foraging and licking behaviours are naturally calming for dogs

- Turn on the TV or radio. Classic FM are doing their annual pet fireworks show with calming music from 5-9pm tonight and tomorrow

- Use additional support if needed - Thundershirts, supplements or medication if prescribed, calming pheromone sprays or plug ins (Adaptil, Feliway or Pet Remedy)
