We love being able to get our Focus members out into the garden, so this week with the help of the Nurture Community CIC ladies we started planting seeds and preparing the ground outside ❤️

We’ve had a lovely morning with the ladies from Nurture Community CIC today for the launch of the Growing Communities Project 😍
Today we started with a taste testing session trying different food and tastes, we are so excited to be working with the lovely ladies again in 2025 🍅🥬🫛

Our Chair, Cllr Kathy Coe is hosting an Afternoon Tea to celebrate informal carers in Burntwood.

Carers provide compassion and support to others in ways that truly make a difference but often go unseen. As a small way of saying thank you, carers and their loved ones are invited to an afternoon to celebrate and recognise what they do each day.

We had a great afternoon yesterday with our members at Birmingham Hippodrome to see Peter Pan “oh yes we did” and it was great to see our friends from MHA Communities South and West Birmingham 😍

Dementia can affect people’s perception. Some examples of this could be shiny floors appearing wet, patterns of fruit on a tablecloth looking like real fruit or a black mat looking like a hole in the ground.

If everyone around us was a Dementia Friend and understood more about dementia and its symptoms, they could help make potentially confusing or stressful situations easier on those affected by dementia.
