𝐖𝐞 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐬𝐞𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 🎃

There is a growing problem with people discarding their used pumpkins over Cannock Chase. Understandably, people may think they are helping nature by doing this, but pumpkins can harm wildlife: ⁣⁣
⁣⁣
* 𝐔𝐧𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐟𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐬𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐜𝐞. Pumpkins are not a natural food source for most wildlife and can make them sick or even kill them.
* 𝐒𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞. As pumpkins rot, they can harbour bacteria, fungi, and viruses that can spread disease to other animals.
* 𝐃𝐞𝐡𝐲𝐝𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. Pumpkin flesh can cause stomach upset and diarrhoea in animals, which could lead to dehydration and death.
* 𝐇𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭 𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐠𝐞. Pumpkins take a long time to break down and can damage habitat ecosystems, plants, and fungi. ⁣⁣
