Dog Training by Sheila Earp

Dog Training by Sheila Earp Long-established dog trainer, here to help your dog become a good citizen and a joy to take anywhere! I am also a stockist of CSJ pet food and supplements.

All breeds welcome and puppies after inoculations! During sessions I will help you teach your dog, response to name, sit, down, come when called, not to pull on lead, behaviour with visitors to home and how to be a good citizen when out and about. My History:
I have perfected my craft over 49 years of teaching dogs good manners but really it is the people I train, explaining why dogs do things and

how their minds work. The main part of my training is taken up with group classes where I train the basics and I love hearing from owners that have gone on to breed training, control, agility, heelwork to music and also flyball. (Some of my customers and their dogs have gone on to win Crufts!)

I can visit dogs in their homes where it is just 1:1 training, I love this just as much as class work as I get to handle the dogs and show the techniques I recommend. Some dogs aren't always lucky enough to stay in their puppy homes and perhaps need a little help to adjust to a new environment, this is what I call dilemma training, and I am happy to do this in their new forever home. I also run a Good Citizen Scheme, which is organized by the Kennel Club. I encourage this scheme as it is nice to have an aim, with Bronze, Silver and Gold award levels. (Who doesn't love a certificate to show off!)

I am a long established dog trainer, starting out with Burton Dog Training club. Prior to that I helped out for several years at a breed kennels with Dachshunds, Italian Greyhounds, Whippets and Great Danes all of which were very successful show dogs, but my love and interest has been what goes on between the ears. Alongside all of the training, I can also recommend pet food and supplements as I am a stockist of CSJ dog food and herbal supplements. Most of my training customers I keep in touch with as they become regulars buying food! "At the end you should have a dog you are really proud of and will be a pleasure to take anywhere."

With the temperature threatening to be freezing tomorrow, I feel the best thing to do is cancel dog training. I don’t want you or your dogs to get too cold. And certainly no risk of you slipping and falling.
I am sorry to do this, but look forward to seeing you all next week, when hopefully it will be above freezing.
Please take care.

I would like to wish everyone a very happy and healthy new year. I know life doesn’t always go as planned or turn out as wished for this time last year, but, with your four legged friends by your side, who do not judge us, it is a Much happier place. Have lots of fun with your dogs, but, be mindful of the fireworks.

And I look forward to seeing you on Saturday.

Echo, wispa, poppy and of course myself.

Good morning,

The weather looks as if it will be kind to us for Saturday. So please wrap up warm and I look forward to seeing you all.
I don’t wish to be the fun police, but, if you have a real Christmas tree, and you water it, please don’t let your dog drink any drained water.
Please like and share for me.

Good wet and windy Sunday morning.

It is nearly time to start enjoying your advert calendars. If you are lucky enough to have a chocolate each day, please be mindful where you store them. Whilst chocolate can put a smile on our faces, Dogs can be very allergic to chocolate, with very serious consequences. They won’t just have one a day, nor will they share if you have more than one.

Please like and share for me.

Bonnie is full of fun. She is my kind of puppy, full of energy and enthusiasm to learn, exactly what a working cocker should be. You can read in her beautiful eyes, her thinking, come on I haven’t got time for this hanging around stuff. Well done on her achieving her puppy foundation award.

This is lily. How alert does she look. Lily is an Italian greyhound, interested in everything that is going on and because of her outgoing temperament has no problem in learning her Commands.

This is cooper, very active and clever young boy. He has passed his puppy foundation course with flying colours.
