💗 My Dearest Pug Snuggers 💗
Firstly, I want to thank you for all of your messages, WhatsApp’s, texts and comments wishing me love and luck for today. You have no idea what that meant to me. To feel that love from you got me through those gruelling hours which seemed to last forever. I will be eternally grateful for your enduring support and I love you all ❤️
However, it is a sad day for me and The Pug Snug. I will have to sell my Mum & Dad’s beloved house, downsize and downsize The Pug Snug too. This is not what I wanted, nor any of you for me, and it wasn’t for want of trying. I’m not allowed to say a lot due to confidentiality, of the mediation, but my wonderful solicitors, paralegal and barrister worked their backsides off and bent over backwards today to come to an agreement as did the mediator. We were very amenable and played ball.
Unfortunately, not for want of trying, believe me, we couldn’t get the agreement we wanted. So I’m left with this.
Do not underestimate me though, that is a mistake that has just been made, my strength of character is quite something! I will come back from this, stronger, bigger and better than before! The Pug Snug will continue, just on a smaller scale than previously, for the time being, until I’m able to expand again, which I will.
This for me has never been about the money, it was about my Mum’s wishes, about the house my parents bought and cherished for all of those years, working hard to pay off the mortgage and make it a home, it was about love and memories. I have something though that they don’t have, the love that I got, the memories of me and Mum laughing together until we cried in the better moments when Mum wasn’t feeling so poorly, holding her as she fell asleep, telling her I loved her everyday, caring for her 24/7 for 2 years which was my total honour. That can never be taken away from me around a negotiating table. So I have won. I can walk away with my head held high knowing with a clear conscience that I loved and cared for both my parents until their dying breaths, and they loved me.
😔 Tonight I’m exhausted. I would like to leave ‘Tongue Out Tuesday’ 👅 to you guys please if I could. Please post your darling photos in the comments and thank you Katie for looking after the girls for me today!
And finally, a photo of my amazing Mum and thank you all so much 🙏🏻
