I would also like to announce I will be continuing part time at my new address in Great Barton. I will likely be ready to go from mid October at the new address but will still be grooming at the old address until the 20th of September.

If you would still like to use me and can travel the short distance extra please let me know and I'd be happy to have you. But being that it will be part time I will only be able to take on a certain number of customers fewer than before. Plan is to groom Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and one Saturday a month at new address.

⚠️ Announcement:

I have not mentioned this until now because to be honest I wasn't entirely sure it would all go through or work out like it has done.

I will unfortunately be moving house again likely beginning of next month. This is because the house I originally wanted to buy seemed out of the realm of possibility 15 months ago but it turns out recently it became reality! New house isn't far away only Great Barton

I'll be honest I'm unsure wether to continue grooming after the move even though I really would like to. It would all depend on how I can do it from my new property and how long it would take to get set up again. I'll never say never and I'm not remotely saying I'm quitting for good. It was a difficult decision to go for this new house as obviously as most who like or follow my page will know I spent an awful lot of money on my new grooming building.

I have continued to take bookings because I was entirely unsure until around a week ago that this was all 100% going through and when it would happen as there were delays after delays. I should be able to honour most if not all of July. I may have to move some around or at the very worst cancel the ones towards the end of that month. I may even be able to do some in early August. I will of course endeavour to give people a minimum of 2 weeks notice if plans change.

This is because I am keeping my current property with plans to rent it out. So I will be available at my current location for around 4-6 weeks from the beginning of July. I'll also slip in if anyone knows anyone looking to rent where a building at the end of the garden would be advantageous to run a business or whatever from it will soon be available. A new dog groomer would actually be nice as there are plenty of dogs that need grooming in and around this town and we all know what it's like waiting 6 - 8 weeks for an appointment!

Unless you hear from me assume your appointment still stands unless you wish to cancel for other reasons. Otherwise I'll make it a priority to get the situation in line with as much notice as possible if I need to change anything.

Okay so today I've had to de-contaminate my salon again for fleas. This is happening a lot lately. I realise every circumstance is individual so this isn't about calling anyone out or blame.

But if I receive a dog infested with fleas I have to immediately shut down for 18 hours minimum so I can treat the whole area to prevent cross contamination. No dog can then enter my salon for 18 hours because the fumigation is deadly to breath in and I can't risk someone else's dog catching fleas.

Please, please do not bring your dog to me if you know they have fleas. You can cancel your appointment and I never charge for cancellations regardless. I'd rather one cancellation than having to cancel 2 or 3 dogs afterwards. Also I do own my own dogs so I also don't want them exposed, I've been there and done that.

Today was an understandable situation, no blame. But another case of the flea treatments you buy over the counter not working. Summer is coming, fleas will be more active than ever. Please go to your vet to ensure your dog is protected. The only effective treatment in my opinion are the chewy tablets the vets prescribe.

I'd like to re-emphasise I'm a budget dog groomer. It's spaced out at 2 hours maximum per slot. If you need your dog cutting to a completely specific standard I would suggest you pay far more than I charge, probably double. And those groomers are very talented and deserve what they charge. But again I'm a budget groomer for people who want their loved animals tidy and clean.

I went to college, I learned but I mostly had to teach myself. I'm qualified and for an average of £40-£50 I believe its good value.

With regards to the 100km dog walk for November for bone cancer, I've passed the target of £150 thanks to everyone's custom. I've donated £1.50 per dog groom above £45 and £1 per dog groom under £40. I am shy by 6km of the 100km target but that will be done tomorrow. Walking 4 dogs is a challenge every day!

Thanks to another generous donation from my neighbour and the accumulated takings from this week's dog grooms my total is now up to £92.50 out of the £150 target.

Still only walked 9.8km out of 100km so far though but let's blame the weather!

To all. I'm completing this challenge to walk 100km in November with my dogs. I'm going to add an optional donation to any payments from my customers if they pay by card. You can also donate by cash on visit and I will have the money transferred. Target is £150 which isn't a lot! 100km is sort of a lot but not too bad!

Can not recommend them enough, having my own dogs cared for and walked by them while I was away on holiday. I'm very particular and cautious when it comes to others walking my dogs as they can be a handful and unpredictable at the best of times. But I was left absolutely at peace of mind with Natalie and Liz sending me photos of my dogs Dante and Luna on their daily walk. They looked to be enjoying themselves more than when I walk them!

Please give them a thought if you are in need of some 5 star pet care.

I've just had a look at my business cards and there is an error on the pricing list regarding categories.

Standard labradors and standard spaniels should not be included in the medium dogs category for £50.

Spaniels (non poodle pure varieties) are priced at £45
Labradors fall in to the wash, dry and nails category at £35 as they require no cut.

The website does list the correct pricing in these regards, the error is only on my business cards.
