⛔️Important⛔️
On the 10th June it became law that all cats must be microchipped.
We now need to keep a record of your cats microchip number when they come in to board.
This information is usually on your cats vaccination card, so please bring this with you when bringing cats in.
If your cat is not yet microchipped, please arrange this with your vet as this is now a legal requirement and we have to check to comply with our licencing terms.
Many thanks!

If you are coming to us today, please be aware that the road from A14 under the bridge is flooded and currently closed.
Please use the bury west exit and come through Westley Village.
Thanks!

⛔️Road closure⛔️
From the A14 through the village, currently the road is closed after our entrance, so there is no through road to gt. Saxham/Westley, but you can get to the cattery from the claas turnoff.
This might change but at the moment, this is where the closure is. Ignore the road closed sign from A14.

⚠️FLOOD⚠️
The road through Little Saxham is flooded both ways at the moment. The bridge off the A14 also has a broken down car in the middle of the flood water.
Please come via Westley, the flooding is not so bad that way, but if you have a small car and would rather wait until this afternoon to see if the flood goes down that's no problem at all.
We hope everyone who is dropping cats off today makes it through!

⛔️Road closure update
The road from the A14 and Barrow is open. There is still a road closure from Bury to the Westley crossroads at the moment.

⛔️Road closure update 31/10/22⛔️

The road from the A14 should now be open all the time up to our property.
The Saxham/barrow end is still closed during the daytime, but should be accessible at weekends.

⛔️ROAD CLOSURE UPDATE⛔️

The works now seem to be further up towards the Barrow/Bury junction so access from the A14 should be open. If there are cones across the road just move them. The road closed sign is still there but that's for traffic heading through the village.

Any problems getting through please let us know 😺

⛔️Road closure update⛔️
The road from the A14 to ours is currently closed between 9.00am and 4.00pm for road works. During these hours you can access us from the other end of the village, via the Westley junction off the A14. The road is access only so if blocked off just tell the workmen you are coming to the cattery and they should let you through.
They are laying gas pipes along the whole road so at some point the road will be closed at the Westley road end and access will be from the a14 saxham junction.
We will let you know if we receive any more updates here so please like and follow if you haven't already done so 😺

Latest update on the road closures near the cattery. The road works take place each day from 0800 to 1630, then the road will open from the Claas/Calor Gas/A14 way. The other way from Saxham Church should be part open to let you through, if there is a works van there tell them you are going to the Cattery and you will be let passed. I spoken to the site foreman and I have asked that they close the road after our entrance for now to make things easier. They are putting a Gas main in for Direct Table Foods and will be on our road moving towards the Church until November! So at some point once they are passed our entrance the situation will probably reverse and the A14 way will be the way to go. They estimate they are putting in 200mtrs a week so I would think they will be at our entrance by month end. Hope this helps!

Morning,
Just a quick update, the road to saxham under the bridge is currently closed due to road works. It may be open again this evening or they may keep it shut. They haven't told us anything but it seems to be opening and shutting on a regular basis at the moment!
If you can't get through on that route the best option is to go through Risby, back on th the A14 and come off at the Westley turnoff. You can then go right at the crossroads and follow the road to the right of the church and come down past the farm.
We will update as best we can on here but at the moment we have no idea what they are doing!

Hey guys, thank you for following our page!
I just wanted to pop on here to mention something that has been happening.
Over the last few weeks we have received several anonymous parcels containing cat treats. While I'm sure this comes from a place of kindness, we have to let you know that we would never feed any kind of food or treats to cats that are staying with us unless we know exactly where they have come from.
As I said, I'm sure they are sent with good intentions, but we are responsible for the welfare of the cats in our care and it would be totally irresponsible of us to feed things to cats that we didn't know their source, and that the cats themselves were not used to.
We are sure that there is nothing underhand about this, but we really would appreciate donations to go to a cat charity and not to us where we are unable to use them.
If the kind sender would like to get in touch and verify that the treats are safe, we will donate them to a local cat rescue.
Thankyou for being a kind person, as I'm sure you are 🥰 xx
