K9-Retreat Bury Dog Boarding and Daycare. Licence number AWL0058 Issued by Bury Council Licensing Dept. K9-Retreat in Bury, we offer a dog kennel and day-care service.

Set in a quiet easily accessible private setting, we offer a natural environment where your dog can relax, socialise and experience the sights and smells of nature. Whether you dog prefers to cuddle, play or to sleep the day away we offer a choice of areas to explore including our outside nature play paddock. Each boarding unit is individually heated, offers raised mesh beds provided with vet grad

e vet bedding. We have three kennel units that offer choice dependent on your dogs needs. The units range from family kennels, a quiet block for older or nervous dogs and kennels with attached covered external runs. Each individual unit is presented with a place to hide should a dog wish to have time alone and a choice of raised platform for those dogs who prefer to have a nosey. As well as living on site we also have CCTV both in individual units and surrounding the external premises. A 24 hour vet service compliments our kennels and we are a fully insured and licenced Boarding facility. Whether your dog is here to stay or play rest assured we provide 'loving care when your not there!'

Boarding Kennels & Daycare

We have an exciting opportunity for someone who is experianced and passionate about working with dogs.

If you are bonkers about dogs come rain or shine, this is an incredibly rewarding role. You will get to work with puppies, rescue dogs, dogs of all sizes and breeds. We also provide boarding for dogs with extra care needs so you must be resiliant ,trustworthy and have a heart of gold.

Criteria:
You must demonstate knowledge in working with dogs
You will be expected to adhere to high welfare and health and safety procedures at all times.
You must have a good understanding of canine behaviour, be active and provide fun enrichment activities for our doggy guests
Giving the best hugs is a must BUT you must also be able to embrace the serious side to the job.
You will meet and greet our amazing customers
Carry out day to day routiue planning with your collegues
Carry out and identifty animal heath checks and report concerns
Plan activitys ... come rain or shine
You must be have good communication skills ... this keeps staff and dogs save

Our staff are Level 3 Animal Welfare qualified and dog first aid trained. Whilst Level 3 is preferred its not essential.You will be give on site training regardless of experiance and we will support you in completing your dog first aid course.

This position is for 20-35 hours per week. We operate 7 days a week 7am -7pm and shifts are allocated a month in advance. We will consider a candidate that can only work fixed days. Start date Jan 2025

Under very sad circumstances we have been asked to help look for a loving home for our friend SPUD 🩵 Spud is a 10 year old French bull dog who is neutered. He mixes with other dogs but would prefer a home as the only dog or with an older quieter dog. He’s looking for a safe place to have cuddles, lots of love and somebody who is at home to give him lots of attention. In such sad circumstances we would love to give his owner peace of mind that Spud will be happy. Quill is an amazing boy. He, like lots of doggy guests have their own preferences and likes/dislikes. We aim to please! Here are some of our doggy guests requests … ( no names given to protect identify 😆) Scrambled eggs on toast for brekkie Sitting on a tyre as if a toilet seat Carrots in tea … but must be circles Will only eat off the floor Breakfast cereal for brekkie Likes a duvet at bedtime Vet follow up appointments Medication at 2am Requires a ramp for access Likes a bed from home Likes a raised kennel bed Likes a round kennel bed Likes a floor bed We all love classic FM ❤️ No matter what we always try to accommodate our dogs needs 🐾
