Our Story:
After the passing of our family cat Barney in 2011, we

parted with our baby boy at our local vet and waited in earnest for his return home. It would be over two weeks before we had our boys remains returned to us, leaving us emotionally exhausted but otherwise delighted to have him home. We were dismayed to discover that our boy had been cremated only 3 days prior, according to his certificate of cremation. With the coming of our darling family dogs 14th birthday, the topic of preparing for Maggie’s passing brought memories of our passed experience flooding back, and we vowed to honour her with a dignified cremation, right here in her home town of Bury. We recognised the need for a compassionate, local pet cremation service that offers bereaved pet owners the peace of mind that their pets will be treated with the utmost respect, will be revered every step of the way and are returned to their families swiftly so that they may all find comfort and closure in their pets passing. With that Legacy Pets was founded, dedicated to providing compassionate support to each and every family we serve. We provide a beautiful and serene environment to say your final goodbyes and offer a range of hand selected urns and keepsakes for you to cherish.

24/7 Collection - In the unfortunate circumstance that your pet passed away, we offer a service to your home. Individual Cremations - Designed to ensure the highest level of professionalism, care and dignity throughout the cremation process. Personally Returned - We aim to return your Pets ashes to you within 48 hours or same day where possible.

Exclusively Individual Pet Cremations:
- Extra Small Pets (hamsters, budgies etc.)
- Small Pets (guinea pigs, rabbits etc.)

Personalised Paw Prints:
Our stunning Personalised Paw Prints are taken prior to your pets cremation. We take several prints to ensure we get the perfect impression of your pet's paw. Once we've taken the print, we run it through our computer and print the paw-print out with your pets name situated below the paws. We then mount this print in one of our gorgeous white box frames for you to keep. You also receive all of the original prints we take prior to printing the final paw print. Our Paw Prints come in either plain black or a colour/pattern of your choice and start from the following:

Black Ink Paw-Print = £25
Nose Prints = £20
Shell Prints = £30
Coloured Prints = £30
Additional Digital Copy = £15

FOIL PRINTS | ✨🐾💜

These beautiful prints are yet another optional keepsake setting Legacy Pets apart from any other crematoria.

We can create a stunning Foil Print using your pet's unique prints either when they are in our care or by using any prints you may have from them from a Vet or taken yourself etc.

We take several prints to ensure we get the perfect impression of your pet's paw and/or nose. Once we've taken the prints, our artists will position the prints perfectly along with your pet's name and an optional quote/message of your choice.

These prints are then finalised with the foil colour of your choice and mounted in either a Light or Dark Oak frame.

Foil Colour Choices: Gold, Rose Gold, Bronze and Rainbow

Single Print (Paw, Nose) = £55.00

Duo (Nose & 1 Paw or 2 Paws) = £65.00

Trio (2 Paws & 1 Nose) = £75.00

BONFIRE NIGHT | 🎆🔥🎇

It’s likely that a lot of folk will have their traditional Bonfire Night this evening.

While we understand just how much fireworks can affect our pets, not everyone is in the same boat. While we cannot stop them from going off, let's try to manage it as much as we can ourselves at home:

💜 Keep your pets indoors (If you cannot bring your pet’s hutch inside, you should turn their enclosure around so that it faces a wall or fence instead of the open garden)
💜 Keep windows and doors shut
💜 Turn your TV or Radio up high
💜 Let your pet pace around, whine, meow and hide in a corner if they want to. Do not try to coax them out – they're just trying to find safety and should not be disturbed.
💜 Make a "den" or hide-away for your pet to go and feel safe inside
💜Try not to cuddle and comfort distressed pets as they will think you are worried too, and this may make the problem worse. Instead stay relaxed, act normally and praise calm behaviour.
