Unfortunately my daughter came across a deceased cat whilst walking a friends dog today… probably from the Twthill/Tanrallt area…

DOGS
- Single dog kennel (1 dog) - £19.00* per day

*Our Kennel fees DO NOT include dog food. Please provide your dogs’ food in a labelled carrier bag, clearly marked with portion amounts required.

CATS
- Single cattery pen (1 cat) - £15.00 per day
- Shared cattery pen (2 cats) - £22.00 per day

This fee includes the provision of both complete dry biscuit and pouches in Jelly – but does not include veterinary or gourmet diets – in that case please bring your own food.

All kennels and cattery clients are charged for day of arrival and day of departure to allow for essential cleaning ~ fee includes arrival time from 9.30am on arrival day, and departure time of up to 5pm on departure day.

Breakfast In bed?
No problem…
We’ve got a list of criteria we strive to maintain when your dogs visit us..
Making them happy - cuddles, kind treatment, and treats usually do the trick there…
Keeping them healthy - seeing them settle and eat is crucial… and if that means adding a few tasty morsels, and giving them breakfast in bed - that’s fine by us.
Keeping them clean - twice daily cleaning of their kennel - regular bed washing - and walks/play time, both on concrete and grass.
We think it makes a difference ❤

DEPOSITS AT POINT OF BOOKING

We work incredibly hard to ensure that your pets are happy and well cared for when they are with us, and we fully appreciate your business - whether you are an existing customer or new one.

Unfortunately we have experienced several instances lately where customers have cancelled their bookings and chosen not to make payment for business lost.

As a response to this we have taken the hard decision to request deposits at point of booking. We take a deposit equating to 4 days payment or the full booking amount - whichever is smaller.

These deposits are requested by us through SMS message on your mobile phone, via "I-Zettle" (a Paypal Company). Payments made are encrypted, safe, and secure, and need to be paid within 48 hours of receipt please.

If for some reason you need to cancel and you give us 7 days notice - we return ALL of your deposit.

If you use the booking as expected, then we take the deposit amount off your total and charge you the balance remaining.

We do hope that this doesn't inconvenience you too much - and look forward to caring for your pets.

Just giving you, our lovely customers the “heads-up”…… our bookings are looking incredibly busy from now until September.
We do have some spaces left, but please do book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment… we hate having to say no.

If customers need to cancel their bookings with us we ask them to be aware that we have probably been turning other customers away for that pen for several weeks and sometimes months.

We remind you that if you cancel within one week of your booking date that we will require either 4 days fee or the full amount - whichever is less.

Hello all,

We thought that you might like to meet two of our resident cats - Twinkle, who is our chief mouser (on the chair), and Merlin, who secretly thinks he’s half dog… we have dogs and ponies too… loving our pets makes this a perfect job for us - and we really enjoy getting to know your pets too 🙂

It’s that time of year when we refresh and replace the kennel bedding… I couldn’t resist a bit of colour this time.
So far it’s going down very well… with several of our canine friends not wanting to leave their baskets 😂

Please note that our boarding fees will be increasing from 1st October 2022 to allow for increased fuel and operating costs.

Pre-existing bookings will be charged at the prices that were in place when bookings were made.

These new fees will be as follows, and include heating, lighting, exercising of dogs, litter for cats, laundry of bedding, twice daily pen cleaning, treats, and lots of cuddles.

DOGS

ABOUT US
- We love what we do ~ and aim to give your pets holidays where they are happy and healthy and glad to return to us – over 80% of our bookings are made by returning customers.
- We offer a friendly and professional service with personal one to one attention for all boarders – we each have over 30 years’ experience in caring for pets, and have bred both happy pets and Champions in both cats and dogs.
- Dogs are exercised several times daily – either in our exercise pens or in our 1.5-acre woodland.
- Shared pens and family units are available but please book these in advance to avoid disappointment.
- In line with other local kennels our fees do not include food. Please provide your dogs’ food in a labelled carrier bag, ideally separated into twice daily portions. Cats are typically fed complete dry biscuits and wet food pouches twice a day - you may choose to bring your own food for your cat if they prefer something else or have special dietary needs.
- We administer prescribed medication or dietary supplements free of charge – but choose not to deal with injections for diabetic pets.
- Baskets and clean veterinary bedding is supplied daily, You are also welcome to bring toys and a comfort blanket for your pet if you wish.

DROP OFF AND COLLECTION TIMES
- Please bring your up-to-date vaccination certificate for routine vaccinations and Kennel Cough vaccination with you when dropping off or we will not be able to admit your pet.
- Daily drop off and collection times are between 9.30 – 10.30am and 4.00 to 5.00pm (except 25th and 26th December - when we are open - but we do not accept arrivals and collections).
- Other times and kennel viewings by special arrangement.

VACCINATIONS
- On arrival we ask that you bring your pets current vaccination certificates - this is in accordance with the Animal Boarding Establishment Act 1963. It is your responsibility to ensure that your pets vaccinations are up to date prior to your arrival. If your pet has to restart its vaccination course, please ensure that the 2nd and final dose has been given 2 weeks prior to arrival with us. We also request that your pet has successfully undergone a worming and flea treatment prior to staying with us.
- Dogs - MUST have up to date DHLPPI and Kennel Cough vaccination.
- Cats - MUST have up to date Flu and Enteritis vaccination
- We cannot admit any dogs or cats that are not fully up to date with their vaccinations.

VETERINARY TREATMENT
- A condition of boarding is that your pet is fit and healthy. Please advise us of any pre existing conditions or recent visits to the vets. We endeavour to do everything to ensure the health and welfare of your pet, however if it is deemed necessary, you authorise us to contact a vet in order to receive advice, examination and treatment on your behalf. You agree to pay us for any Veterinary or related expenses incurred by us before collecting your pet/pets.

The sound that we love most 🙂 a full kennels and Cattery, with just the noise of the stream in the background.
Taken just now to illustrate why we have just two “visiting” times a day - it’s high summer and the exercise run doors are all open for a breeze.

Poor little Lottie - please someone give her a home. Lottie has been with us for almost 2 months now. She was abandoned by her owners and found scavenging for food in shop doorways. She kept being shoo'd away and was seen being kicked. Lottie had had a litter of kittens but none of them were with her when she was found. Naturally she was wary of humans when she first came into Freshfields but is friendly once she knows we mean no harm. She has come round a lot in the last few weeks, but needs a home where she is the only cat and with no small children. She would like a home with some outside space. Why am I left behind 😔??

Little Doodle is the only one out of the kittens we had advertised not to find a home, he had been let down by the person interested in him. So we have told him we would appeal to our lovely supporters to find him his very own home. He is 8 weeks old and has had his vet check and 1st vaccination.
